Primary version Android TV version (Intended)

Level 1-1 is the first level of the Adventure Mode in Plants vs. Zombies, Plants vs. Zombies: Endless Edition, and Plants vs. Zombies: Great Wall Edition, and is thus the first of the Day levels.

In Adventure Mode 1, the level acts as the first tutorial, introducing the Peashooter, sun, and Basic Zombie. As such, Peashooter is the only available plant, and only one lane is rolled out to defend. Once beaten, Sunflower is unlocked.

In Adventure Mode 2, all five lanes are present, and the player continues from the end of Adventure Mode 1 with all non-shop plants unlocked. There are also more flags and waves of zombies.

Difficulty

This is a tutorial level, making it one of the easiest levels in the game. It is enough to simply place Peashooters on any two tiles. If the Peashooters get eaten, the Lawn Mower will still be able to win the level.

Strategies

Place Peashooters wherever you want, and you will almost always win, although placing them in the leftmost tiles will ensure they are safe from the zombies.

If after the Sunny Days achievement, you can indefinitely stall the game by not placing the second Peashooter, allowing slow but easy collection of 8000 sun. This is because the level will not continue to spawn more zombies until the second Peashooter is planted.

It is also possible to easily get the Last Mown Standing achievement in this level. Plant two Peashooters in the last two tiles where the zombies are coming from and let one of the zombies eat it. Do not plant any more Peashooters and wait for the zombies to get destroyed by the Lawn Mower.

Trivia

  • This is the only level where the player starts out with 150 sun.
  • Originally, the player was given 100 sun at the start of the level.
  • Level 1-1 when played for the first time, Level 2-5, Level 4-5, and Level 5-10 are the only Adventure Mode levels without the Flag Zombie.
  • It is actually possible to fail this level on the first Adventure Mode gameplay. Planting two Peashooters in the eighth and ninth columns would let the zombies eat them and trigger the Lawn Mower. If the player is lucky, at least one zombie is left to eat the player's brains.
