The player may not know that Dancing Zombie summons four Backup Dancers. The colorful dancing may break the player's concentration in killing the zombies.
In this level, the player is provided with Ice-shroom to temporarily immobilize and slow down the zombies.
Again, start out by planting Sun-shrooms and Puff-shrooms for basic defense and sun gathering at the beginning of the level. Plant at least three columns of Puff-shrooms and two columns of Sun-shrooms if possible.
If you are overwhelmed early on, use the Ice-shroom. It will stall the zombies for long enough to be defeated.
When your defenses become more fully developed, plant a few Repeaters for a stronger defense.
Whenever a Dancing Zombie comes, plant a Hypno-shroom for the Dancing Zombie to eat. The Dancing Zombie will then summon four Backup Dancers to fight on your side. This will also earn you the achievement Disco is Undead.
It is possible to beat this level using nothing but Puff-shrooms. This can be played for extra fun, challenge, or even both.
Start by putting down Puff-shrooms in the third column.
At the same time, plant Sun-shrooms down in the first column.
Keep placing down Puff-shrooms until the seventh column is filled. (Do not do this all at once. Do it while you are following the other steps.)
Place Scaredy-shrooms in the second column.
Use Grave Buster to clear graves.
If you can, replace Puff-shrooms in the third lane with Scaredy-shrooms.
Strategy 3
Required plants:
Sunflower
Scaredy-shroom
Puff-shroom
Fume-shroom
Grave Buster
Wall-nut
Anything to Phillip (fill up) space.
Plant one Sunflower. Put all of the Puff-shrooms 1 space from the graves. Once you do that, make sure you keep getting the Sunflower's sun. Once you have one, plant Scaredies in the third lane. You can beat it like this, but put Fume-shrooms too in the fourth lane.
