Statue-shuffling is a Brain Buster in Renaissance Age on Day 16. In this Brain Buster, there are statues arranged in rows and columns, some of which contain zombies. The player must guess the location of these zombies concealed inside and defeat them by breaking their statues open with a mallet. Before this, however, the statues are shuffled. There are ten different rounds to this Brain Buster. In each round, zombies are revealed, their hiding spots are mixed up randomly, and then the player must guess. Upon guessing all zombies' locations correctly, the remaining statues are destroyed and the game proceeds to the next round. This is a difficult objective, as if the player misses even one zombie in the first four rounds, they lose the Brain Buster. Alternatively, they are given the option of paying 10 gems to continue if they fail. After reaching the fifth round, the player is given an extra mallet, allowing for one incorrect guess.

Strategies

When the number of zombies you have to track starts to become overwhelming, it is easiest to focus on and remember the location of bigger groups rather than outliers or both. It is also essential to not use your extra mallets in the fifth and sixths rounds if possible, as these will carry over to the last three stages. If, despite your best efforts, you can't get past the harder rounds with more mallets or with gems, you can screen record the reveal and shuffling of the zombies.

One sure-fire way of cheating through the level is: Grab a piece of paper and a pencil. Draw a grid of squares, one square representing one zombie. Record which zombies are real by coloring in those squares. Then, when the grid starts rotating, rotate the paper around. Afterward, if you've done this correctly, you can look at the paper for reference and easily beat the zombies.

Trivia

  • This Brain Buster acts very similarly to Terracotta Statues, albeit much less forgiving.
  • It is also the second Brain Buster involving defeating zombies in statues, the first being Bronze Matrix.
