Tit for Tat (以牙还牙; pinyin: yǐyáhuányá) was a Brain Buster exclusive to Dark Ages in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. It was very similar to Dark Alchemy. The player had to fight against zombies with the help of Hypno-shroom. To unlock this Brain Buster, the player had to obtain 4 Dark Ages keys.

Trivia

• This was the only Brain Buster to feature two identical plants: normal and costumed Hypno-shroom.
  • Only Hypno-shrooms that are given Plant Food with costumes will transform zombies into Gargantuars in the player's favor.
  • If the player had already costumed Hypno-shroom, then the normal seed packet will give a costumed plant.
• This, Cannons Away, Oak Archery, Gluttonous Hungry Guacodile and Bulb Bowling are the only Brain Busters that feature one plant.
• Dark Ages - Night 23 appears to of been like Tit for Tat, as it is a minigame where only a single plant is given.
