The Coconut line (椰子系; pinyin: yēzi xì) is a Class S Brave plant line in Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars.

The line consists of Coconut Sniper (椰子狙击手; pinyin: yēzi jū jī shǒu), Coconut Cannon (椰子加农炮; pinyin: yēzi jiānóngpào), and Coconut Rocket Launcher (椰子火箭炮; pinyin: yēzi huǒjiànpào). They all specialize in dealing with boss supporters and attack with projectiles, tied to coconuts.

Coconut Sniper attacks by shooting coconut milk droplets, Coconut Cannon attacks by shooting explosive coconuts, and Coconut Rocket Launcher attacks by shooting big coconut rockets.

Origins

All members of the Coconut line are based on the seed of the coconut tree (Cocos nucifera). They are also based on military members or weapons.

The appearance of Coconut Sniper is based on the tradition of slicing off the apex of a coconut and drinking the milk through a straw.

Coconut Cannon, is based on the plant with the same name and appearance from Plants vs. Zombies 2.

Coconut Rocket Launcer's name is based on a commonly used term rocket launcher, though it more specifically resembles a missile truck such as the MZKT-79221.

Ways to obtain

Coconut line is given as a reward for collecting 90 stars in Far Future, while puzzle pieces for this line can be obtained by replaying Wild West - Day 28, Kongfu World - Day 28 or Far Future - Day 8. Additionlal puzzle pieces can be obtained through Soulmates Puzzle system.

Abilities

Abilities are unlocked by tiering up, while their effect is increased through star leveling.

Note: 10(+5)% means that at LV1 this ability has a 10% on LV1, 15% on LV2 and so on.

3	Cannon Away [Passive]	Attacks twice less often and deals double damage. Additional 148(+148) normal attack damage.

Star leveling

After unlocking the Coconut line, additional puzzle pieces can be used to upgrade it, which increases its stats and ability LVs.

  • There was a game mechanic, based on elements. Coconut line's element was air.
  • Coconut line's feature was orange.
  • Coconut line used to have combinations with Tail line, members of which increased Coconut Sniper's crit by 10%, and with Ice Pea line or Watermelon line, all members of which increased Coconut Sniper's defense and crit defense by 15%.
  • Coconut line used to have these upgrades:
    • Weapon: branch flail. Armor: moss cape. Costume: common hat. 500 coins
    • Weapon: branch flail. Armor: weed cape. Costume: common hat+1. 1000 coins
    • Weapon: bamboo flail. Armor: weed cape. Costume: common hat+2. 5000 coins
  • Coconut Rocket Launcher is one of three plants that replaces another plant from a previous version of Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars. In this case, it is the replacement for Tropical Cannon.
    • The other plants that share this trait are Twin-Headed Snapdragon and Foxtail, which replace Magical Dragon Grass and Liontail respectively.

Tropical Cannon (热带炮; pinyin: rèdài pào) was a plant in Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars. It no longer exists in the game, as it was replaced by Coconut Rocket Launcher.

Origins

Tropical Cannon is based on Coconut Cannon, but with the addition of palm leaves (the lower ones combine with 4 wheels to form a naval carriage) and a rocket-like projectile.
