The Apple line (苹果系; pinyin: píngguǒ xì)was a Class S Brave plant line in Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars which was introduced in the 1.0.104 update, alongside Neon Mixtape Tour

The line consisted of Apple Tosser (苹果掷弹手; pinyin: píngguǒ zhì dàn shǒu), Apple Howitzer (苹果榴弹炮; pinyin: píngguǒ liúdànpào), and Apple Mortar (苹果迫击炮; pinyin: píngguǒ pǎijīpào). They all specialized in dealing with weak targets and attacked by lobbing apple cores to three closest enemies across the field at once.

Origins

All members on the Apple line were based on the Apple Mortar from Plants vs. Zombies 2, albeit in different colors.

The middle evolution shared the exact same coloration as Apple Mortar, and the final evolution shared its name.

The different colors of the individual evolutions were also based on different cultivar of apples, with Apple Tosser's colors being based on the Granny Smith apple; Apple Howiter's colors being based on the Red Delicious apple; and Apple Mortar's colors being based on the Golden Delicious apple, as well as golden apples, a recurring symbol in numerous legends and mythologies from many different cultures and ethnicities.

Ways to obtain

Apple line puzzle pieces could be obtained by replaying Neon Mixtape Tour - Day 28, and additional puzzle pieces could be obtained through Soulmates Puzzle system.

Abilities

Abilities were unlocked by tiering up, while their effect was increased through star leveling.

Note: 10(+5)% means that at LV1 this ability had a 10% on LV1, 15% on LV2 and so on.

2	Stunning Cores [Passive]	Critical hits deal 310(+310) more damage and lower speed of the target by 50(+25).
3	Juicy [Passive]	Damage gets increased by 114(+114) for each kill.

Star leveling

After unlocking the Apple line, additional puzzle pieces could be used to upgrade it, which increased its stats and ability LVs.

• Despite Apple Howitzer having the exact same appearance as Apple Mortar, it had an entirely different name. With the name "Apple Mortar" going to its golden colored evolution.
