The Watermelon line (西瓜系; pinyin: xīguā xì) was a Class A Brave plant line in Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars .

The line consisted of Melon Slice-pult (瓜瓣投手; pinyin: guā bàn tóushǒu), Melon-pult (西瓜投手; pinyin: xīguā tóushǒu), and Winter Melon (冰瓜投手; pinyin: bīng guā tóushǒu). They all specialized in freezing groups of enemies.

Melon Slice-pult attacked by lobbing watermelon slices, Melon-pult attacked by lobbing whole watermelons, and Winter Melon attacked by lobbing frozen watermelons.

Origins

All members of the Watermelon line were based on the watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), a type of melon from Africa.

Melon Slice-pult was based on a fact that watermelons are usually served cut into triangular slices.

Melon-pult and Winter Melon were based on plants with the same names and appearances from Plants vs. Zombies 2.

Ways to obtain

Watermelon line's puzzle pieces could be obtained through PvP Mode shop, Dave's shop and gems chest. Additional puzzle pieces could be obtained through Soulmates Puzzle system.

Abilities

Abilities were unlocked by tiering up, while their effect was increased through star leveling.

Note: 10(+5)% means that at LV1 this ability had a 10% on LV1, 15% on LV2 and so on.

1	Melon Scatter [Active]	Deals damage to three random enemies. At tier 3 there's a chance hitted targets will be frozen for 2 turns and their flames will be extinguished. Additional damage 378(+378).
2	Cooling Down [Passive]	Melon Scatter deals 310(+310) more damage and slows targets down by 50(+25).
3	Fireproofed [Passive]	Gains 114(+114) attack. Can't be burned.

Star leveling

After unlocking the Watermelon line, additional puzzle pieces could be used to upgrade it, which increased its stats and ability LVs.
