Power Team Vanquish is a Weekly Event game mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. It is a variant of Team Vanquish where a crystal dog will spawn in a predetermined spot on the map, which grants its users a temporary invincibility and boosted damage.

Mechanics

This is Team Vanquish where a power-up spawns on the map that can grant temporary invincibility to the player who picks it up. Said power-up will always spawn in one of three predetermined spots on the map.

Description

What's in a Crystal Dog anyway? Well, only UNLIMITED POWER! (Disclaimer: Unlimited power only lasts a limited time, some exceptions may apply).

Weekly Challenges

The weekly challenges for this event are as follows:

  1. Win a Match
  2. Get a Vanquish while Invincible
  3. Get 3 Vanquishes While Invincible in a Single Spawn

Strategies

Because this mode includes a crystal dog that gives the player that obtains it a boosted damage and temporary invincibility, which spawns at the same spots on each map, it is recommended that you camp near these places so you or your team can pick it up and kill enemies with it seamlessly. This also helps making the weekly challenges that involve killing enemies while invincible easier.

Thanks to the AI backfilling added in the recent patch, you can complete the weekly challenges even more easily by joining a lobby with few to no human players and mostly AIs. Because the AIs are fairly easy to kill, this allows you to score kills and win matches much easier than playing in a full lobby.

Bugs

As of July 14, 2020, Z-Tech Oozevoir was added to the list of available maps for this mode. However, the crystal dogs won't spawn in this map, due to the lack of valid crystal dog spawn points, effectively turning it into a regular Team Vanquish match.
