Cups were a trophy currency item exclusive to the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. They could be obtained by playing Battle by defeating other players' houses. Cups were used to allow the player's global ranking to increase.
They were however also subject to being stolen by other players, should they succeed in defeating the defenses of the player's own house. When the player's cups have been stolen, they have the opportunity to get revenge on the thieving player. A record of gains and losses of cups was shown in the Battle Record section of Battle's main menu.
