Hot sauce is an item obtained when the player has completed the Player's House in Plants vs. Zombies 2. Crazy Dave saves the taco just for hot sauce and then decides to go back in time with the use of his time machine, Penny, so he can eat it again, but "accidentally" ends up in Ancient Egypt. The taco is the main plot point for the game, as the player travels through different time periods to try and find it.

- It is the only item that can be obtained on Player's House.
- When tapped, the sound of a cork being removed from a bottle is heard.
- This sound is also played when the player taps the Jurassic Marsh note.
