Golden Chests are items in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. They are rewards for completing Hard Mode levels for the first time. They can give either diamonds, coins, Costume Puzzle Pieces or Pendant Puzzle Pieces. Each Hard Mode version of a level has a set of rewards. Boss Battles have a different looking version of Golden Chests: they are purple with Zomboss' head. They give bigger rewards.
