Silver coin is a currency item available in Plants vs. Zombies and Plants vs. Zombies 2 that is worth $10. It is first seen in Level 2-1 in Plants vs. Zombies or Player's House - Day 4 in Plants vs. Zombies 2. It is also found in the Zen Garden, the Mushroom Garden and the Aquarium Garden. When a plant gets watered, they will drop a silver coin. When they are happy, they also do this. This form of money occurs the most.

Often awarded in a money bag after finishing a level (Plants vs. Zombies 2 only)

Like many items in Plants vs. Zombies, it resembles the coins from Insaniquarium. However, this does not apply to the coins in the iOS versions, due to having different stylings.
In Plants vs. Zombies FREE, the value of this coin was changed from 10 to 1, like the other money values. However, items in the shop are decreased in price as well. This is because the game renders a values of coins as ten times more than they are internally (for example, 1000 coins to the player is 100 coins to the game).
They drop more often than in Plants vs Zombies 2.
