Secret Realms (时空秘境; pinyin: Shíkōng Mì Jìng) is a gamemode in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. It is similar to Adventure Mode with the primary distinction being that exclusive worlds don't have to follow the theming of a specific time period. These worlds can contain elite bosses, new zombies, new gimmicks, and new plants.
There are 3 types of difficulty in these realms: Easy, Hard, and Special. Levels on the hard difficulty can earn the player more rewards than the easy difficulty, whereas in special mode the player can choose how many stars they can earn and respectively earn their reward. Completing Secret Realm levels will result in the player earning earning rewards like plants and Puzzle Pieces.
The Secret Realms can come in a variety of forms:
- With regular shop, 3 collectibles per Hard Mode level: Fairytale Forest (Part 1 and 2), Haunting Halloween (2022), Speed Racing
- With battle pass, 1 collectible per Normal Mode level, 4 collectibles per Hard Mode level: Celebrating Chinese New Year, Children's Playpark (2023), Parkour Party
- With task rewarding, 15 collectibles per Special Mode level: Anniversary Carnival Party, Haunting Halloween (2023), Haunting Halloween (2024)
- With task rewarding, 15 collectibles per Hard Mode level: Frostbite Caves Resurgence, Children's Playpark (2024)
- With conditional rewarding, no collectibles: Auspicious Snow Welcomes Spring, Walking in the Snow to Seek Spring
- With currency rewarding, no collectibles: Parallel Universe No. 42, Parallel Universe No. 41
The player may also use some of the zombies found in the Secret Realms in Creative Courtyard, and can even purchase things in the Secret Rewards shop using real-life currency.

Trivia
- Fairytale Forest, Parkour Party, Frostbite Caves Resurgence, Speed Racing, and Parallel Universe No. 42 are currently the only Secret Realms not themed after a holiday.
- Fairytale Forest is the only Secret Realm to be available permanently.
- Frostbite Caves Resurgence was initially planned to be a permanent Secret Realm, but after its shutdown on January 31st 2024, once it made its comeback on December 20th 2024, it turned into a temporary Secret Realm instead.
- Fairytale Forest is currently the only Secret Realm featured and listed on the Official website.
- Elite zombies from Frostbite Caves Resurgence are also listed within the world order, as part of the Frostbite Caves world.
