Survival: Treasure (Endless) (无尽的宝藏; pinyin: Wújìn De Bǎozàng) is the tenth level of Creativity Mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Original Edition, being a mini-game, more specifically the fourth level themed on the popular Chinese mod 植物大战僵尸杂交版 (Plants vs. Zombies: Hybrid Version). The level was made by the Hybrid Mod Team (杂交版团队).

As the name suggests, the level is endless and has infinite amount of waves and flags, coming in rounds. The player is given a total of 14 seed packets pre-selected against a massive army of hybridized zombies. It consists of 10 slots of Treasure Buster, 3 slots of Yummy Candy, and 1 slot of Fluorescent Mallet. The gameplay revolves around treasure busting, by using Yummy Candy and Fluorescent Mallet for faster progression, as well as to deal with the craters and other environment modifiers in a more efficient fashion.

500 sun is given at the beginning of the level, and the sun that falls from the sky is double the size and value, giving 50 sun each.

The player can also watch ads or share an invitation code to plant special hybrid plants, once per ad/invitation, as well as to buy power-ups, those being: Extra Sun - gives a total of 500 sun instantly; Cooldown Reset - resets the seed packet recharge of every plant in your chosen seeds; Jalapeno Storm - plants a Jalapeno in every single tile of the lawn.

Origins

The level was done in collaboration with Plants vs. Zombies: Hybrid Version, a popular Chinese mod created by 潜艇伟伟迷 (SubmarineWeiWeiPVZ) and his team.

Strategies

  • Begin by planting nine Treasure Busters in a 3x3 area, and an additional Treasure Buster that will receive the Fluorescent Mallet in order to deal finely with the first wave of zombies. Yummy Candy can be used for the 3x3 area of golden craters for easy early-game as the first usage of Yummy Candy costs 0 sun (which will cost 100 sun after the first usage), that is, if the player gets a good RNG instead of being swarmed by Sun Bomb seed packets. Alternatively one can let the 3x3 area of golden craters to fade away on their own over time.
  • As long as a homing plant such as Winter Melon Cattail or Sunflower Queen or an area-dealing plant such as Wild Gatling Pea is obtained early on the game during the first flag, it should be safe as the first flag always only consists of the basic trio zombie set and the Green Conehead Zombie.
  • Avoid scattering your plants from here and there and try keeping a clean and safe 3x3 area for treasure busting, as the later flags will barely allow planting of Treausre Busters on the frontmost columns due to high-danger zombies rampaging, as well as the skeleton craters of Skeleton Zombie blocking the planting of Treasure Busters.
  • By the 2nd flag already, the player should have acquired a massive amount of sun that will not worry them a single once throughout the endless gameplay. At that point, one can constantly utilize the Fluorescent Mallet to help themselves with the skeleton craters, as well as utilizing Yummy Candy from time to time to get rid of zombie armours, as well the ladders on your Spikerock-nuts and Tall-Ice-nuts, while also getting rid of the golden craters and the skeleton craters at the same time.
  • Tall-Ice-nuts are recommended to be planted on the first plant, in order to keep your defense safe from the sabotage of Tenebrous Football Digger Zombies which can appear in later waves.
  • Combinations such as Sunflower Queen with Wild Gatling Pea are recommended, regardless of the icy plants around.
  • Keep up to maximum 5 Doom Cannons, one in each lane, as more of them will occupy too much space and may not be too efficient in reality.
  • Pea Cannon and Hot Dog Shooter are not recommended for late-game, however acceptable for early-game dealing.
  • Plants such as Hamburger Shooter and Butter Gloom-shroom are recommended to be kept at the most front of your defense, given that they are behind some wall plants such as Spikerock-nuts.
