Herbal Assault is a game mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. It is essentially the reverse of Gardens & Graveyards, with plants attacking and zombies defending. The two factions can have up to 12 players each, creating a total of 24 players possible in one game of Herbal Assault. Like the mode's counterpart, the plants must invade and turn the zombie's graveyards into gardens, while the zombies try to defend the graveyards.

Just like the Engineer from Gardens & Graveyards, the Rose is now in charge of setting up the teleporter and is also capable of summoning Crystal Guardians to defend it.

Origins

Its name is a pun on the phrase "Feral Assault." It could also be a pun on the phrase "Verbal Assault."
