Mixed Mode

Mixed Mode is a mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, and Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. Different multiplayer game modes can be played through it. Each round, a random game mode and map is picked. Each round, players who played as zombies are automatically switched to the plants and vice versa.

Maximum players for this mode is set to 16 players and teams are auto-balanced at the beginning of every round if needed. In Garden Warfare and Garden Warfare 2, all multiplayer modes except for Classic Variants and Welcome Mat are playable and cycled in this mode.

Therefore, all customization options for characters; variant plants and zombies, upgrades, costumes, and taunts are available for this mode. In Battle for Neighborille, only Vanquish Confirmed, Gnome Bomb, and Suburbination are available.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville

Compete in an 8v8 PvP battle in a mix of unique game modes: Gnome Bomb, Suburbination, and Vanquish Confirmed.

Playable modes

Maps

Maps with day and night variations are both present on this mode. Maps being daytime or nighttime is also determined randomly. All the maps present in the game can be played through Mixed Mode. There are four map options for Gardens & Graveyards. Other modes use the maps of Garden Ops.
