Sasquashed! is an achievement in Plants vs. Zombies 2. It requires the player to kill a Treasure Yeti. It is worth 15 points in the Game Center and 1,500 XP on Google Play Games for Android devices.

Origins

Sasquashed is a combination of the words "Sasquatch," a North American ape-like cryptid similar to the Yeti, and squash, meaning to crush.

Strategies

Main article: Treasure Yeti

As Treasure Yetis will begin to retreat after they have taken a certain amount of damage, you can use a Plant Food or an instant-kill plant like Cherry Bomb in order to guarantee killing the Treasure Yeti. Sheer firepower may also be sufficient to kill the Treasure Yeti, but it only stays on the lawn for a limited time and can appear before your strategy for the level is even set up, so this is difficult. If there is no other way, you can resort to using power ups to kill the Treasure Yeti. You can also use an E.M.Peach to temporarily stun it or an Iceberg Lettuce to freeze it. Stallia can be used as a safe bet, but it will obviously not fully immobilize it. Additionally, triggering a lawn mower manually via the Mower Launch upgrade could help while the instant plants are recharging and if you have no Plant Food to use at that moment.

Trivia

  • Squash is not needed to get this achievement, although it has the plant's name in it.
  • This is the only achievement to be unobtainable at most parts of the year due to the Treasure Yeti no longer randomly occurring since 2017.
    • It can only be obtained during certain events, normally those around Feastivus and Birthdayz.
      • This is due to how any Yetis found in Arena or Penny's Pursuit do not count for this achievement, as those are classified as entirely seperate zombies code-wise. They also don't give the player Treasure Yeti's almanac entry for the same reason.
