The Trial of Balance is a Trial of Eternity introduced in the Trials of Gnomus DLC of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.

The objective of the trial is to make it across a series of platforms suspended over a lava pool. This trial can only be accessed with the Green Key of Agility gotten in the 50 Rainbow Star chest.

Overview

The player has to cross many different platforms, including small circular platforms and long winding platforms suspended over a lava pit. Along the way, there are projectiles and giant hammers that can vanquish the player.

Being vanquished, by either falling into the pit or getting hit by a projectile or hammer, will result in immediate failure of the entire trial.

Strategies

The Imp can easily beat this trial due to his double jump, which allows him to skip over certain parts of the Trial. The S.H.R.IMP will have an even easier time using his mech. This is thanks to a glitch where you hold jump while using the Big Shrimp Jump.

Citron is a good choice for this trial due to his Citron Ball, however it is still very easy to fail on certain parts due to the very strategic jumping needed.

Peashooter with Hyper, Super Brainz's Heroic Kicks and high jumps, Twilight Chomper, Foot Soldier's Rocket Leap, Scientist's Warp, Rose's float, or Kernel Corn's Husk Hop could also help finish this trial faster.
