Journey to the West (西游记; pinyin: Xīyóu jì) was a world in Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars. It was based on Plants vs. Zombies: Endless Edition, a Chinese exclusive version of Plants vs. Zombies, which was in turn based on a Ming Dynasty novel by Wu Cheng'en with the same name. The zombies in this world are loosely based off those that appear in the storyline of the novel.

Trivia
- The Wok-Head Zombie, which is the Buckethead Zombie variant of this world, is based on the Poncho Zombie.
- Four of the zombies from this world were originally found in Plants vs. Zombies: Endless Edition: Skeleton Demon Zombie, Red Boy Imp, Yellow Brows Gargantuar and Ox-Demon King Zombot.
- Tudigong was also found in Plants vs. Zombies: Great Wall Edition.
- The symbol found on the hand in the world map is the ancient Indian symbol of divinity.
- This is the only world in the game to not be based on a time period, but rather being a novel.
- Unlike other worlds, this world's lawn had non-pattern oriented tiles, as it almost follows a pattern of "light-light-dark" while other worlds strictly follow a pattern of "light-dark-light" and vice versa.
- Despite the world map showing Skeleton Demon Zombie as the Boss for Day 20 in pre-1.0.81 version of the levels, it is mistakenly replaced by the Spider Demon Imp, thus making Skeleton Demon Zombie unused on release.
- This however does not occur in the post-1.0.81 version of the levels and correctly appeared as a big Boss in Day 20.
