Primary weapon
The Frozen Z-1 Assault Blaster is the primary weapon of the Arctic Trooper. The facts below apply to a fully upgraded weapon.
In GW1, his damage is 5-7.2 and his critical damage is 6-8.6, which means that his DPS varies between 45.83 and 78.83. In GW2, his damage is 4.6-6.6 and his critical damage is 5.5-7.9, which means that his DPS varies between 42.17 and 72.42.
The weapon has an ice effect; when a hit is made it slows the target. If around 12 (GW1) or 10 (GW2) hits are dealt, the target will be frozen.
The ammo in a clip is 30 (or 35 in GW2).
The reload time is 2.025 seconds (Or 1.8s in GW2).
Zombie Stink Cloud arcs a gas grenade in front of the zombie; any plants inside the gas suffer damage. The gas is also extremely helpful for cover. It requires a 20-second recharge after use.
An alternate ability of Rocket Jump, the Foot Soldier will go a further distance, but will not jump as high. Rocket Leap also has two uses. This ability is good if you want to get around places faster.

Strategies
The Arctic Trooper is good for players that can reliably stay focused on one target as landing around 12 or 10 consecutive hits with the Arctic Trooper will freeze the enemy solid, fully immobilizing them and rendering them unable to use any abilities.
Arctic Trooper benefits from being a full-auto ice variant, and due to the nature of ice, your hits on the enemy do not have to be especialyl consistent since every hit counts towards the freezing. Once you do freeze them, it gives you enough time to do one thing, this can be, for instance, reloading your weapon so you have a full magazine ready by the time your opponent unfreezes, activating the ZPG and trying to shoot it before they get free or use the time given to escape if you are severely injured. Do not try to do more than one thing while your opponent is frozen though, as you will run out of time, since three seconds (or 2.1s in GW2) is very short.
Arctic Trooper lacks group control due to his middling damage output. His main weakness are Sunflowers, as they can remove his ice effect with healing.
In the Great White North map, near the first garden, there are ice blocks which have Arctic Troopers in them.
An Arctic Trooper can also be found frozen in an ice sculpture by the second objective point.
In fact, there are multiple Arctic Troopers found stuck inside of the ground in various different maps. Some of these maps include the Great White North, Frosty Creek and the academy in Zomburbia.
In Garden Ops, Arctic Troopers usually appear during a Super Yeti Wave, serving as support enemies.
On Crazy difficulty however, they can spawn in place of a normal Foot Soldier.
His appearance is greatly reminiscent to that of an Inuit.
