Chieftain

Chieftain is a zombie appearing in special missions of Garden Ops in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. You must vanquish three Chieftains to complete the mission before time runs out. Each time you vanquish the Chieftain, your team's time will be extended. After vanquishing the third Chieftain, the mission will be completed. Each Chieftain, while alive, will be marked on the HUD with a unique symbol, specifically, a purple zombie head surrounded by a purple target.

Trivia

• The Chieftain wears a large papakha with Viking horns and has a black beard.
  • These are in-game customizations acquired through Sticker Packs.
    • The papakha, in-game, is known as "Buffalo," while the beard is a facial hair under the name "Full."
• The Chieftain actually speaks in the Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare PC trailer, making him one of three zombies to talk in the entire series, with the first being Dr. Zomboss and the third being Baron von Bats.
• In the trailer, using a megaphone (which faintly represents a Sonic Grenade), he tells customized zombie variants to exercise and train for the game's release on PC.
  • He speaks in zombie language; hence the trailer has translated closed captions.
  • At the end, he is eaten by an Armor Chomper using Burrow.
• The Chieftain is a customized General Supremo. Nevertheless, sometimes, he appears as a regular Foot Soldier when you use lower difficulties on Garden Ops.
• These zombies are similar to the Champions, specifically the Champion Foot Soldiers, that appear in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.
  • Surprisingly, Chieftains do not appear anywhere in Garden Warfare 2.
