War of the Spider Woman
The first area of Journey to the West in Plants vs. Zombies: Original Edition

War of the Spider Woman (大战织蛛女; pinyin: Dàzhàn Zhī Zhū Nǚ) is an area in Plants vs. Zombies: Original Edition ported from Plants vs. Zombies: Endless Edition as part of the Journey to the West mode. The music played in this area is Grasswalk.

This area could be considered the inverse of Pool as there are only two ground lanes in the middle with the rest being water lanes, requiring Lily Pads to be planted on. Unlike Pool however, there are only five lanes rather than six, with there being one water lane at the top rather than two, with the remaining two lanes being a plank bridge which requires Flower Pots to be planted on.

Similarly like in Pool, during the last wave of a level, all three varities of Goose Tube Zombies will spontaneously surface in the last four columns of any water lane.

This chapter has its own exclusive limited-time achievement, Vanquish the Spider Woman, in which the player is required to obtain all 9 stars available in this chapter of the mode.

Trivia

• Goose Tube Zombie also appears in this area, however it is not considered a unique zombie on its own in the Journey to the West almanac in Plants vs. Zombies: Original Edition.
  • Instead, its more of a variant of the zombie that can apply to ZomBotany zombies as well.
