Speed Racing (飞车竞速赛; pinyin: Fēichē Jìng Sù Sài) is a new Secret Realm and the 25th world overall in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2, introduced in the v3.4.6 update alongside Electric Tailgrape, Dragon Bruit and Gloom Vine. This Secret Realm is an official crossover with the popular car racing video game franchise Need for Speed, more specifically with Need for Speed: Mobile, also referred to as Need for Speed: Assemble (极品飞车：联动).

This Secret Realm introduces a basic zombie set for the event, alongside featuring a new Elite zombie, the Whizzing Behemoth. Additionally, this Secret Realm introduces a new lawn, a new soundtrack, a new gimmick, as well as a new minigame, Car Huarong Road.

The basic zombie set for this realm are different than regular, as they are now almost twice as fast in speed and are visually running. There is also a new gimmick, the Acceleration Charges, which fast-forward zombies about 2 tiles ahead in a high speed, allowing them to cut to the defense much faster. Additionally there's also upwards and downwards facing acceleration charges, which move the zombies upwards or downwards to adjacent lanes, respectively.

Trivia

• A lawn mower for this realm was teased in the official website, but it ended up not being added.
  • Later on it was confirmed that it was scrapped due to time constraints and regular lawn mower was forced to be used for this realm.
• Coincidentally enough, both Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed are owned by EA.
