Gene Enhancement is a feature introduced in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. This feature allowed you to further upgrade your plants. Only a few can be enhanced.

- Peashooter - Peashooter's attack power has been increased
- Sunflower - Sunflowers have reduced sun cost
- Wall-nut - Wall-nut's cooldown reduced
- Potato Mine - Potato Mine's cooldown reduced
- Cabbage-pult - Cabbage-pult's attack power has been increased
- Iceberg Lettuce - Increased freeze time for zombies froze by Iceberg Lettuce
- Spikeweed - Spikeweed's attack power has been increased
- Split Pea - Split Pea's attack power has been increased
- Kernel-pult - Increased chance of Kernel-pults firing butter
- Fire Gourd - Fire Gourd reduces sun cost
- Resistant Radish - Resistant Radish's cooldown shortened
- Bamboo Shoot - Bamboo Shoot's attack power has been increased
- Puff-shroom - Puff-shroom's duration increased
- Fume-shroom - Fume-shroom's attack power has been increased
- Sun Bean - Sun Bean's cooldown shortened
- Pea-nut - Pea-nut's cooldown reduced
- Gold Bloom - Gold Bloom's cooldown shortened
- Magnet-shroom - Magnet-shroom's rest time shortened
- Peach - The duration of Heavenly Peach's Plant Food invincible shield is increased
- Stallia - Stallia makes zombies in the poisoned state take extra damage
- Snow Pea - Snow Pea's attack power has been increased
- Lightning Reed - Lightning Reed has increased damage from direct hits and increased chain damage
- Melon-pult - Melon-pult's direct hit damage and splash damage increased
- Spikerock - Spikerock's attack power has been increased
- Tall-nut - Tall-nut's cooldown shortened
- Threepeater - Threepeater costs less sun
- Magnifying Grass - Magnifying Grass' single-shot attack consumes less sun
- Sweet Potato - Sweet Potato costs less sun
- E.M.Peach - E.M.Peach paralyzes mechanical zombies for an extended period of time
- Moonflower - Moonflower produces more sun
- Explode-O-Nut - Explode-O-Nut's explosion attack power increased
- Wax Gourd Guard - Wax Gourd Guard's health increased
- Endurian - Endurian's attack power has been increased
- Sap-fling - The slowing effect caused by sap has been increased
- Rafflesia - Rafflesia's attack power has been increased
- Intensive Carrot - Intensive Carrot's planting cooldown shortened
- Garlic - Garlic regenerates health every 5 seconds
- Saucer - Saucer's cooldown shortened
- Cherry Bomb - Cherry Bomb's cooldown reduced
- Laser Bean - Laser Bean Plant Food damage increased
- Starfruit - Starfruit's attack power has increased
- Infi-nut - Infi-nut recovery time reduced
- Chomper - Chomper's swallowing time reduced
- Pumpkin Witch - Reduced time for Pumpkin Witch to get new pumpkins
- Blover - Blover's cooldown reduced
- Bonk Choy - The damage of Bonk Choy's Plant Food effect has been increased
- Power Lily - Power Lily's cooldown time shortened
- Phat Beet - Phat Beet's plant food attack has its damage increased
- Hurrikale - Hurrikale's cooldown reduced
- Primal Peashooter - Primal Peashooter's attack power has been increased
- Twin Sunflower - Twin Sunflower have an increased chance of returning sun
- Primal Sunflower - Primal Sunflower cooldown shortened
- Chestnut Squad - Chestnut Squad reduces the Chestnut respawn interval by a few seconds
- Toadstool - Increased production of sun after the end of Toadstool's swallowing
- Electric Blueberry - Electric Blueberry's attack speed increased
- Sling Pea - Sling Pea's projectile pea damage and bomb pea damage increased
- Sunflower Singer - Sunflower Singer's attack power bonus effect increased
- Chard Guard - Chard Guard's time of regeneration of its leaves reduced by seconds
- Elaeocarpus - Increased the health of zombies that can be killed by Elaeocarpus-pult when smashing its racket
- Hot Date - Hot Date's cooldown shortened
- Aloe - Aloe's Normal Droplet attack damage bonus effect increased
- Kiwifruit - Kiwifruit's duration of the golden cudgel extend to a few more seconds
- Shrinking Violet - Shrinking Violet makes zombies take increased damage after shrinking
- Draftodil - Increased probability of Draftodil blowing Imps away
- Shadow Peashooter - Shadow Peashooter increases attack power with the number of Moonflowers on the field
- Boom Balloon Flower - When Boom Balloon Flower's balloon explodes, it will cause dizziness for 1 second, and the probability will be superimposed after the balloon is superimposed
- Missile Toe - Missile Toe's rest time shortened
- Cattail - The spikes fired by Cattail's normal attack have a chance to pierce through zombies
- Snapdragon - The general attack of Snapdragon causes burning damage for 5 seconds, and the burning damage is equal to the attack damage
- Cold Snapdragon - Cold Snapdragon's attack speed increased
- Caulipower - The cooling time of Caulipower has been shortened
- Magic-shroom - There is a chance to summon an additional zombie when Magic-shroom activates its Plant Food effect
- Mulberry Blaster - The probability of Mulberry Blaster throwing gas bombs is increased (effective after level 5)
- Olive Pit - Olive Pit's blockage time reduced
- Winter Melon - Winter Melon directly hits a zombie that has been slowed down by ice, there is a chance to freeze the zombie
- Bearberry Mortar - There is a chance that the Bearberry Mortar will jam and fire one more shell in a random direction to the right
- Twin Year of the Rabbits - The rest time of Twin Year of the Rabbits is shortened
- Pike Hoya - After attacking, Pike Hoya reduces the charging time by a few seconds
- Pea Pharmacist - When Pea Pharmacist transforms a zombie into a Snow or Shadow Pea, there is a chance that the plant will release its Plant Food effect.
- Spring Bean - The probability of Spring Bean bouncing off zombies is increased (effective after level 2)
- Plantern - Plantern's health increased
- Pea Pod - The attack power of Pea Pod increases with the number of stacked peas
- Torchwood - Torchwood can ignite non-pea bullets, and the damage of the bullets is increased after ignition
- Pumpkin - A Pumpkin faceguard that grants an additional health point when a Pumpkin is planted
- Lava Guava - Lava Guava's attack power has increased
- Imitater - Imitater will add extra attack and defense to the attributes of the imitated plant
- Imp Pear - The probability of Imp Pear's Level 4 chances to be boosted is increased
- Tile Turnip - Tile Turnip reduce sun cost
- Cactus - Cactus' Plant Food effect strengthens the acupuncture with an additional electric current, and there is a chance to paralyze the zombies hit
- Laser Crown Flower - Laser Crown Flower's Plant Food ability damage has been increased
- Burdock Batter - Burdock Batter has a chance of maintaining the first burning effect from Plant Food ability
- Dollarweed Drummer - Dollarweed Drummer increases damage and speed buffs to Orchestra plants
- Thyme Warp - Thyme Warp's cooldown shortened
- Homing Thistle - Homing Thistle's chance of activating Level 2 and 3 abilities has been increased.
- Agave - Agave has a chance of firing weapon aura (剑气) as a projectile
- Bloomerang - Bloomerang's attack speed increased
- Anthurium - Anthurium's damage of large electric balls has been increased
- Dripping Diphylleia - Dripping Diphylleia's ponds last longer
- Gold Leaf - Gold Leaf's cooldown shortened
Genetic Sequences Shop
Other than extracting, you can also go to the Genetic Sequences Shop to spend universal gene coins to buy sequences. Universal gene coins and genetic materials can be obtained by purchasing Gene Packs. You can also earn universal gene coins if you get extra sequences for a plant that you already have maxed out. The rarer the plant, the more coins it gives.
