Subdue the Yellow-Browed Monster 3-1 was the first level of Subdue the Yellow-Browed Monster in Plants vs. Zombies: Journey to the West.
Difficulty
As it is the first level of Subdue the Yellow-Browed Monster, the difficulty is not too high. However, it is night roof, which limits the use of straight-shooting plants by a lot.
Strategies
Lobbed-shot plants like Cabbage-pult and Melon-pult should be used to avoid the blockage of projectiles caused by the landscape. Umbrella Leaf is very important as there are both Bungee Zombies and Catapult Zombies in this level. Snow Pea and Winter Melon are good supports to slow down the zombies. For Heroes, it is recommended to use Monk Flower because it produces an very large amount of sun.

- Players occasionally encountered a glitch where the game's intro is played again when the level was selected for the first time. The player would then be back to the level selection and the whole game would function normally again.
