With
With a massive 7/8 for just 6, Deep Sea Gargantuar may seem like a reasonable gargantuar to add to decks, but the major problem with him is that he is just has huge stats going for him, and not any good trait or even ability that other Gargantuars have going for them (Gargantuar-Throwing Gargantuar, Supernova Gargantuar). The Amphibious doesn't help matters either, as by the time you played him, the match is most likely drawing to a close, so the final lane is irrelevant.
What doesn’t help is that Gargantuars aren’t viable because of the fast pace of the game in the current meta, and by then, your opponent can also use powerful cards to deal with Deep Sea Gargantuar, even Solar Flare, Chompzilla and Captain Combustible, the three heroes with no Amphibious plants, have their ways to counter him. While you could play Gargologist to play him at least two turns earlier, this combo can primarily only be played with The Smash, a hero that starts their matches sluggishly, and there is better options anyway.
Against
This zombie is one of the strongest Amphibious zombies and should be removed quickly. However, using plants to one-shot him is not recommended because the options are extremely limited (Guacodile and Gardening Gloves/Bubble Up + non-Amphibious plant combo), and those that can do the job cannot survive an attack from Deep Sea Gargantuar. Instead, the best strat against him is just to try and finish the game by this point - luckily, turn 6 is the turn most matches end at, so this shouldn’t be a problem, unless he’s brought out earlier by Gargologist.
