Its name is a portmanteau of "tank" and "Ankylosaurus," the real-life dinosaur it is based on.
Its description is a pun on the word "club," referencing both the club on the end of its tail, and the nightclub, as in the word "clubbing."
The "tank" part of its name could be referring to the fact that it has 6 health, meaning it can "tank" more hits compared to other Crazy fighters.

Strategies
With
This zombie has poor strength but good health for its cost. Its Dino-Roar ability also allows you to quickly damage a target. However, it is randomized, so you will have to rely on the likes of Gizzard Lizard and The Chickening.
Tankylosaurus has relatively low strength, so it isn't exactly the best fighter. However, it works exceedingly well with Disco-Naut, allowing it to inflict unblockable damage if it doesn't get a strength boost. Binary Stars help too, as they can double the damage for extra destruction. Combining all three of these cards can prove to be very deadly.
Each hero can use this in their own ways:
Electric Boogaloo can use it in his pet deck where it can activate the abilities of Cat Lady and Zookeeper assuming they are able to survive until it can be played, or give boosts with Vitamin Z that can improve its damage output and survivability. But other than that, he doesn't have reliable ways to draw or Conjure cards, and the best he can do is to play Interstellar Bounty Hunter or Unexpected Gifts.
Professor Brainstorm doesn't have access to huge stat-boosting or trait-granting cards, but he does have access to lots of effective card-drawers such as Fun-Dead Raiser, Kite Flyer, Regifting Zombie, and even Eureka to activate its ability much more often and deal heavy damage.
Z-Mech can give it health boosts with cards like Healthy Treat, or protect it with Escape through Time (which also activates Tankylosaurus' Dino-Roar ability once since it conjures a history card) or Zombot Battlecruiser 5000. But just like Electric Boogaloo, he is rather lacking in terms of card draw; in fact, he is even worse than Electric Boogaloo in that standard alone.
However, Tankylosaurus has a few weaknesses, primarily in its nature as a Crazy Card and how unreliable its ability can get. While it can ruin decks by hitting and destroying plants that have low health, it isn't that much of a threat itself since the Crazy Class lacks the card draw needed for it to be a threat. When compared to other zombie Dino-Roar Cards, Tankylosaurus is not great at direct action since it has no notable traits (such as Zombot Dinotronic Mechasaur's Bullseye or abilities that can benefit itself much/create additional pressure (Mondo Bronto/Zombot Dinotronic Mechasaur/Raiding Raptor/Stompadon). And even when it is working, it can inadvertently charge the Plant Hero's Super-Block Meter repeatedly, doing more harm than good. It definitely isn't the most expensive card, but considering how late it generally sees play and the nature of Dino-Roar abilities, it is quite possible for the Plant Hero to remove it or play around and make a much more punishing move. While it definitely isn't unplayable and has its uses, there are better strategies to work with at times.
Against
Statwise, this zombie won't do a lot of damage by itself. However, if your opponent puts emphasis on card draw or gives this zombie Deadly, it can wreck your defenses easily.
Thankfully, there are a few solutions to this card. Its low base strength means that Chomper, Toadstool, and Whack-a-Zombie can destroy it if it is unboosted. Having a field full of flowers with Briar Rose can destroy it immediately if it or its ability damages a flower.
Using Peel Shield can almost negate its ability. Having several nut plants coupled with a Mirror-Nut on the field can make your opponent think twice before activating its ability since they cannot control who the ability targets.
