Strategies
With
This card is one of the more expensive Hearty cards, making it somewhat tricky to use effectively. Its stats are poor for a 5-drop, however because it steals 2 sun and effectively leaves them with 3-sun, it means that its stats should be judged as a 3-drop, and they are average in that sense. Most competitive players call these kinds of cards "win-more" cards, cards that have abilities that only truly benefit you if you are leading the game, however Ra Zombie has decent stalling potential outside of this.
Ra Zombie usually needs to be played in a situation where you are even or in control of the game, otherwise not much will be gained from it. Ra Zombie can work in decks where it plays in a tempo-like playstyle, where you take it slowly at a time, still trying to keep ahead. Should you manage to keep the tempo and pull ahead in battle, you can send this out to set the opponent back even more; however, don't just send it out without support, as it will not last long on its own.
There are obvious uses for this, like delaying the opponent from playing certain cards , but what is really important to strive for when trying to make use of Ra Zombie is trying to seize the field with your zombies first.
Ra zombie is generally pretty niche, with its low stats and one-time ability, however with its buff, it is definitely usable to help support already existing fields by giving your opponent less sun to deal with them all. It is also worth mentioning the synergy it has with Turquoise Skull Zombie, as it can be played directly afterwards to leave your opponent with 2 sun on turn 5 do deal with you whole board, making it an effective stalling tactic to get to the later turns where you can start playing bigger cards.
Against
Try to stay ahead of your opponent if Ra Zombie is played by removing as many things off of their field as you can with removal cards like Whack-a-Zombie or Sizzle. If Ra Zombie is played at a point of the game where you're leading, Ra Zombie is not much of a threat on its own, however its attack can potentially be increased to 4 with the use of Going-Viral, making far more intimidating, so keep that in mind.
If the board for zombies is looking a little too big, you might need to try to jump back into the game (either this turn, or the next) by trying to gain some tempo through any means, or using one of your deck finishers.
Even if Ra Zombie is weak, you still have to re-think your own play, and plan your next move because Ra Zombie can be a little bit of a hindrance to overall strategy, and tempo, if that is your deck archetype. You can combat the reduction of sun with Sunflowers and other sun-producers, but it's not really worth doing at such a point in the game, because it is solely temporary for the turn.

Trivia
- It used to be the most expensive uncommon zombie in the game before the 1.60.79 update, however it is now tied with several other uncommons for that title.
- It is one of the two cards that can reduce the number of sun the opponent has, the second being Turquoise Skull Zombie.
- Both it and Weenie Beanie are both mentioned in the special thanks in the credits when mentioning the plants and zombies, most likely due to its meme-worthy status in the community.
