Hot Lava Deadlock

Hot Lava Deadlock is the eleventh mission for the zombie side in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. The main opposing plant hero in this mission is Captain Combustible. This mission also features Wall-Knight and Nightcap as opposing plant heroes.

There is also a rule called "Big Time!". At the start of each turn, plant fighters and zombie fighters get +1 and +1.

Encounter Battle

The first deck Captain Combustible will use may be slightly challenging. Right off the bat, he can place down a Pea Pod which will get a double boost each turn thanks to the "Big Time!" rule. Even worse, if he puts it behind a Torchwood, not only will it get a double boost each turn, but it will also get a 2-strength advantage. Plus, the Torchwood doubles as a shield for the Pea Pod, allowing it to grow unless you are using a Zombie with Strikethrough. Black-Eyed Pea will make you think twice before pulling off something like a Rolling Stone to destroy Plants that can threaten you later in the game early on. Plus, he is also a Pea, and once again, Torchwood will be able to boost him and double as a shield. Even worse, Captain Combustible will find any vulnerability you have and strike through there, especially if he has the opportunity to get a clear hit with a Skyshooter on the Heights lane. If he falls behind with a card disadvantage, Flourish will cover him, and he will swarm with the likes of Pair of Pears and then pull off a quick Berry Angry. Take advantage of the water lane, of which Captain Combustible does not have access to. But if the Hero, you are using doesn't have Amphibious Zombies, the next best thing is removal. Luckily, Rustbolt, Professor Brainstorm, and Z-Mech all have the chance to do this with Bungee Plumber, Exploding Fruitcake, Knockout, and the likes.

• During the second Teammate Battle, there is a visual glitch with the rule pop-up, where there is a missing line break between the title and the description of the rule.
