Epic Quest: Imp Pear is an Epic Quest that features 5 of the Premium Plant Quest for Imp Pear. It lasted from September 3, 2019 to September 17, 2019, February 24, 2021 to March 3, 2021, and and September 27, 2021 to October 7, 2021.. The reward is an Premium Pinata that contains 50 Seed packets, each 10 seed packets being for a world/premium plant. (Before 2021, it was 50 seed packets for Imp Pear). However, in the harvest event, you will always get a Premium Pinata containing: Apple Mortar, Bombegranate, and Imp Pear, Stickybomb Rice

Step 1

This level is pretty straightforward, make the zombies eat the Imp Pear which turns them into Imp Pear Imp and defeat them with either Potato Mine or make them eat the Imp Pear again. The best thing about the Imp Pear is that, it can easily turn Buckethead Zombie varriants and Poncho Zombie into Imps, not matter their health. Potato Mine should be planted in the back, so that if any zombie is very close, Potato Mine will be detonated and destroy the zombies, making a Imp Pear Imp eat a Imp Pear, also allows zombies to be stalled which gives you more time to plant Imp Pears. However, there are simply to much zombies that will overwhelm you lawn, so use Plant Food from zombies or Power Lily on Imp Pear, to turn lots of zombies into Imps or destroy some Imps, which can cause mass stalling, this is helpful against Wild West Gargantuar since he can only crushing an Imp Pear instead of eating it, not only does it not require Potato Mine but it also avoids him from summoning his Imp. But all Plant Food effect from Imp Pear is random, so you may need to use lots of Plant Food to turn a Wild West Gargantuar into an Imp Pear Imp, you can stall them by making a Imp Pear Imp eat a Imp Pear.

Waves

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost lane.

Step 2

Pear can easily transform into Imps, and this is very helpful against Newspaper Zombie which is usually a big issue, given with the plants here. Peashooter can easily attack and destroy any Imps remaining, however Imp Pear will not be available right away, and since Future Conehead Zombie and Future Buckethead Zombie spawns right away, you have to rely on Peashooter's to easily defeat them, until Imp Pear is available. Sometimes Peashooter's can easily be overwhelmed by lots of Imps in the lane, try giving a Imp Pear to a Imp Pear Imp to stall the zombies in the lane, to allow Peashooter's to deal damage without being overwhelmed. Eventually, Peashooter will be unavailable, so you have to rely on Imp Pear to transform zombie into Imps and destroy them with Imp Pear. Use Plant Food on Imp Pear, to transform many zombies into Imp Pear Imps or on Peashooter to easily get rid of zombies or Imps in its lane.

Step 3

Imps shot out of Imp Cannon's can easily help you because once they eat the Imp Pear, they can release gas and stall zombies, usually you would need two Imp Pears eaten on a zombie to do this, but in this case you would only need one. Imp Pear should easily transform all of the zombies here into Imps. However, do not plant Imp Pear on a Prospector Zombie that managed to jump to the other side, or else one he eats it, he will turn around and easily trigger the mowers, this makes it really risky to use it on Prospector Zombie, especially if you fed a Imp Pear with Plant Food, try getting rid of it with Cherry Bomb or just make him walk out of the lawn(this choice is better until Cherry Bomb is available), you can also use 2 Imp Pears to easily defeat them, but possibly other zombies can easily eat the Imp Pear. Also plant Cherry Bombs in groups of Imp Cannons, since they can't eat Imp Pears, so you have to rely on Cherry Bomb and to stop from the lawn from being littered with Imps.

Step 4

Try planting as much Cabbage-pult and Kernel-pult as possible because they will eventually won't be available. The reason why you need them is to easily destroy the Tombstone and to constantly not rely on Imp Pear to easily defeat zombies, they will also be used to easily destroy spawned Tombstones from Tomb Raiser Zombie's, aside from that Kernel-pult can easily stun zombies. Even if these plants are unavailable, A.K.E.E. is stil available and can easily attack several zombies at once, helpful against Imps. However, Jester Zombie and Parasol Zombie can easily deflect projectiles and damage your plants, Imp Pear should be used to easily turn them into Imps, and then Cabbage/Kernel-pult/A.K.E.E can defeat them. Ail-mint can also help by weakening Imps that has eaten Imp Pear Imp, so that the lobbing plants can easily defeat them within one or two shots, using Plant Food also is different when boosted by Ail-mint since they can transform more zombies into Imps (which is helpful when there are plenty of Jester Zombies and Parasol Zombies). You can also use plant food on the lobbing plants to easily stall or damage zombies, better to use Cabbage-pult (when the lawn is full of Imps, so that they can instantly be defeated).

Step 5

Since this step is Locked and Loaded, you should not worry about Imp Pear effecting your sun production. because his cost is 0. Start by planting Primal Sunflowe's, and plant Puff-shroom's to handle the first few waves of zombies since their cost is 0. Once you have a good amount of sun, start planting Peashooter's to easily defeat zombies. Imp Pear should be fed to Conehead Zombie and Buckethead Zombie, because Peashooter's can easily defeat them faster. Imp Pear should also be fed on fast-eating zombies such as: Seagull Zombie and Newspaper Zombie because they are a serious threat, when not fed with Imp Pear. Chicken Wrangler Zombie are the biggest problem because the attacking plants given to you, are not meant to easily handle to crowd of Zombie Chickens and will easily be overwhelmed. Imp Pear is a good plant against Zombie Chickens, because he can instantly destroy any Zombie Chickens that touch him and he will not be eaten. However, make sure that there is no other zombie that can eat the Imp Pear, so that the Zombie Chickens can eat it. You can also fed a Imp with Imp Pear, so that the Zombie Chickens are stalled a bit, giving you a bit more time, to thin out the crowd of Zombie Chickens. Since Gargantuar's can't eat Imp Pears, use Plant Food to Imp Pear, to have a good chance to turn them into Imps. If you don't have Plant Food, then plant Potato Mine to reduce a good amount of his health, make sure to stall him until Potato Mine in armed. You can also use Plant Food on Primal Sunflower, if your low on sun production.
