Epic Quest: Dartichoke!
Epic Quest: Dartichoke! is an Epic Quest that features 5 of the Premium Plant Quest for Dartichoke. It lasted from March 2, 2020 to April 27, 2020. The reward is an Premium Pinata that contains 50 seed packets for Dartichoke.
Step 1
Bonk Choy can easily destroy the Tombstones, teamed up with Snow Pea it is even more helpful because zombies will receive more damage from Bonk Choy but walk slower, easily taking out Conehead Bikinis and Buckethead Bikinis. Dartichoke can also help since he can easily attack zombies even if there are Tombstones in its way, it is also helpful against Wizard Zombie since he is prioritized, easily defeating him before he can transform plants into sheep. You can use Iceberg Lettuce to stall him when Dartichoke is recharging or on any zombies close to eating a plant, in all this level should be quite simple and easy
Dialogue
Penny: Dartichokes aim first at high-priority targets like Wizards and Octo Zombies.
Waves
- The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost lane.
Step 2
Protecting the endangered Dartichoke should be the main priority, because if not then they can easily be eaten. Electrici-tea is extremely helpful in this level because they can easily destroy zombies with splash damage, so you don't have to worry about them, however since they come rare on the conveyor-belt, stalling will be important. Dazey Chain is reliable for stalling as well as damaging zombies. try to plant as much as possible in order to stall them. Explorer Zombie and Pirate Captain Zombie are the biggest problem yet since they can burn or steal the endangered plants. Explorer Zombie can also burn Electrici-tea which makes it useless, try stalling Explorer Zombie or Pirate Captain Zombie as much as you can, additionally Dartichoke can prioritize these zombies which can easily defeat them. However, if the Zombie Parrot is released, try to stall it as much as possible, Kernel-pult can also butter him which instantly destroy it, so that can help too. Plant Potato Mine in front of the endangered Dartichoke, so that when they come close they will explode and destroy the zombies. which is helpful against Gargantuar's which should be easily taken care by that plant, using Electrici-tea can drastically reduce his health, and using Dazey Chain can stall him. Use Plant Food on Kernel-pult to stall zombies a bit, or Electrici-tea/Potato Mine to clear out some crowds.

Step 3
Kiwibeast will be very helpful in this level because of the presence of Imps which has a faster eating rate, making Kiwibeast stronger and having a bigger attacking radius, keep in mind however Hunter Zombie and Turquoise Skull Zombie can easily burn or freeze Kiwibeast, making it useless. However Dartichoke can prioritize Turquoise Skull Zombie, which can easily destroy him, however Hunter Zombie is not prioritized by Dartichoke, so you have to rely on Kiwibeast to destroy them. Tile Turnip is a big boost since there are plenty of them that arrives and they can easily be a devastating combo with Dartichoke, the more purple tiles there are then the more easier it is to win the level, even taking out Blockhead Zombies. Prospector Zombie will also be prioritized by Dartichoke, so that he won't jump to the other side, make sure though some Kiwibeast are at the back of the lawn so that if Prospector Zombie manages to jump to the other side of the lawn, they will be damaged. Use Plant Food on Dartichoke (make sure he is on the Tile Turnip tiles) to cause a chain reaction of deadly darts overwhelming zombies.

Step 4
As always Pokra will make everything easier because of how powerful it is, they can easily destroy zombies such as Buckethead Pirates, Imps, and Newspaper Zombies, and for tougher zombies, they can be stalled by Pokra, so that they will easily be destroyed and take longer to reach the Flowers, which is important in winning the level. Dartichoke is also helpful because lots of zombies here are prioritized, such as: Jurassic Bully, Jurassic Rockpuncher, Newspaper Zombies, and Sunday Edition Zombie, which all have high health and are very dangerous. Sun production is important, but Gold Bloom is very helpful in getting a headstart, while the Imitated version of it really give a great boost for this level, use Primal Sunflower to gain additional sun. Spear-mint is very reliable since not only does it boost plants such as: Pokra, which can easily destroy Jurassic Gargantuar and Jurassic Rockpuncher in seconds but also plant Spikerock's which can easily destroy low-threat zombies, so that that you can use your plants to focus on more important plants, keep in mind though that Jurassic Gargantuar and Jurassic Rockpuncher can crush them, but only the third time which is helpful for stalling. There will be frequent sandstorms of zombies, bringing in dangerous zombies close to the flowers, Pokra can easily slow them down and Homing Thistle can focus on them, so that they will easily be destroyed, as well as when Jurassic Imp are launched onto the third column, use plant food on Gold Bloom to get a good amount of sun, if you have limited sun, or on Spear-mint to easily strengthen plants.

Step 5
Right away on wave 1, several Portals spawn bringing in dangerous zombies such as: Octo Zombie, All-Star Zombie, and Newspaper Zombie. Luckily Dartichoke is a big advantage here because lots of zombies here are targeted by him. The following zombies that are prioritized by him are: Pharaoh Zombie, Blastronaut Zombie, Jester Zombie, Surfer Zombie, Octo Zombie, Newspaper Zombie, Balloon Zombie, and All-Star Zombie. However Jester Zombie can easily deflect Dartichoke projectiles which can easily be a problem since he is prioritized, Ultomato is a big help since he can handle most of the zombies that are not prioritized by Dartichoke, if you constantly upgrade them, it can be very powerful and can easily destroy: Knight Zombie, Jurassic Bully, Gargantuar's, and Brickhead Zombie\Holo Head Zombie, they are also helpful in removing obstacles such as: Surfboard and Octopus. Hot Date is also helpful since it can clear out lanes, so that Dartichoke and Ultimato will not be overwhelmed by large groups of zombies. Surfer Zombies, All-Star Zombies tackle or Gargantuar's smash can be used as an advantage to easily clear out a lane if there are zombies such as: Blastronaut Zombie, Bug Buckethead Zombies, and Octo Zombies which will either ignore Hot Date or wrap him up in Octo Zombie. During the final wave, there will be huge amount of Gargantuars , Dartichoke and Ultomato will easily be overwhelmed, Hot Date is vital in easily destroying zombies and use Plant Food on Ultomato to deal heavy damage, make sure it is around a huge group of zombies or else they won't receive enough damage.
