Epic Quest: Shine Vine! is an Epic Quest that features 5 levels for Shine Vine. It lasted from March 16, 2020 to April 27, 2020. The reward is an Premium Piñata that contains 50 Seed packet's for Shine Vine.

Step 1

Take advantage of how slowly the wave progress, don't start planting Peashooters right away when the first Mummy Zombie appears. Start planting Sunflowers at least 1 or 2 columns of them, the pre-planted Sunflowers on top of Shine Vine should give you more sun than usual since Shine Vine is boosting the Sunflowers, after planting a column of Sunflowers ontop on Shine Vine, start planting Peashooter's to attack zombies, since the first few zombies are weak, they should be easy to kill. Focus on adding another row of Sunflowers ontop of Shine Vine, the reason why you need lots of Sunflower's is so that you can have enough sun for Citrons which can easily destroy Conehead Mummy and Buckethead Mummy and that Peashooters won't be overwhelmed, at most try having 2 columns of Peashooters, and if you want, try planting Shine Vine on top of them though its better on Citron since it can stun zombies while Citron is charging. Camel Zombies should easily be defeated by Citrons, its best to have at least a column of Citrons, so that you can plant more Shine Vine to produce more sun to plant more Citrons.

Step 2

Sun production should be not much of a problem because already Twin Sunflower can produce lots of sun, but powered with Shine Vine, they can produce even more sun. And the pre-planted Shine Vine should give you a little headstart on sun production. Its quite interesting to mention about what plant is Shine Vine is planted ontop, since Torchwood damages zombies nearby, Shine Vine will stall them and Torchwood can deal more damage, and when a Chomper is chewing, Shine Vine can stall zombies until Chomper is finished eating. Plant Threepeater's behind Torchwood so that the peas can deal more damage, since are Torchwood already in lane 2 and 4, plant Torchwood in lanes 1,3, and 5. Try planting as much Threepeater's so that peas can deal more damage to easily defeat tough zombies such as: Pyrimad-Head Zombie, Pirate Buckethead, and Blockhead Zombie. Newspaper Zombie can be a bit of a problem once his Newspaper is destroyed, you can stall him with Shine Vine, but since he eats so fast, Shine Vine will easily be eaten, your best plant is Torchwood because once he is eaten, he will explode, enough damage to destroy a furious Newspaper Zombie. Use Plant Food on Twin Sunflower's on top of Shine Vine to gain a massive amount of sun, Threepeater's to clear out the lawn a bit, or on Torchwood to make peas even stronger.

Step 3

Use the pre-planted Gold Tile as an advantage to gain extra sun, try planting Magnifying Grass on the Gold Tile then plant a Shine Vine ontop of that. Magnifying Grass is your main firepower as it deals the quickest and highest damage to easily defeat zombies, but since you need lots of sun to attack several time to defeat Conehead and Buckethead Cowboy's, be sure to plant as much Shine Vine to gain sun. You can also plant Gold Leaf ontop of plants to gain some more sun. However, Chicken Wrangler Zombie is a big problem because once you attack him with Magnifying Grass then Zombie Chicken's will easily overwhelm Magnifying Grass and eat thm, you should use Spikeweed or Spikerock's to easily destroy the Zombie Chickens. Pianist Zombie can be a bit of an issue because he can move Cowboy Zombie variants to other lanes, additionally Slider tiles can move them, which can cause Cowboy Zombie to enter a unguarded lanes, this is why you need to attack Cowboy Zombie variants with Magnifying Grass fast when Pianist Zombie is spawned, so that a Cowboy Zombie won't move lanes. You can also use Spikerock to instantly destroy a Pianist Zombie, and will also not be destroyed unlike Spikeweed. Relic Hunter Zombie will spawn in the middle of the lawn, you can use Shine Vine to stall them and when you have enough sun, shoot him down with Magnifying Grass. Use Plant Food on Shine Vine (better if ontop of Magnifying Grass) to gain extra sun and to destroy nearby zombies.

Step 4

Shine Vine being level 10 is a huge advantage because they can produce more sun and stun zombies much more faster, they should easily take care of the Jurassic Imp. Make sure to plant Sun-shroom's ontop of Shine Vine , so that their growing rate is faster and can easily produce more sun. Sun production is very important because of Ultomato, since the price increases, when there are more Ultomato planted, you need to plant as much Sun-shroom and Shine Vine as much as possible. Ultomato is important to defeat tough zombies such as: Knight Zombie, Jurassic Fossilhead, Jurassic Bully, and Jurassic Gargantuar. But don't plant them right away, that's why Bonk Choy is used as a starter's to easily take out zombies, because of zombies being stunned by Shine Vine, Bonk Choy can constantly attack zombies until they are defeated. Use Magnet-shroom to remove Knight helm so that they are more easier to defeat. Shine Vine is also reliable against Zombie Parrot summoned from Pirate Captain Zombie and Balloon Zombie, since the constant stun allows Bonk Chow or Ultomato to easily defeat them instead of flying over very fast. Once you have a decent amount of sun, level up your Ultomato to deal tougher zombies, because Jurassic Gargantuar will eventually spawn, so the key to defeat they is severe damage from Ultomato and stunning from Shine Vine, plant Bonk Choy in the third column to take care of the summoned Jurassic Imps. Use Plant Food on Shine Vine planted ontop of Sun-shroom to gain a massive amount of sun, its best to use Plant Food on only that plant, so that you have more sun to plant Ultomato.

Step 5

Since this level is not locked and loaded, you can take your advantage in choosing your own plants. You should have heavy duty plants like: Winter Melon, Citron, Primal Peashooter, Primal Potato Mine, and more because this level will have lots of dangerous zombies, don't worry about sun production because Shine Vine can easily boost your sun production plant and Enlighten-mint can allow them to produce even more sun, for a headstart use 1 or 2 Boost Tiles to get a good amount of sun. E.M.Peach can be helpful in this level to disable Shield Zombie and Gargantuar Prime, try having Grave Buster or a piercing plants to easily get rid of the pre-placed Tombstone's and the Tombstone that will be spawned throughout the level. You should have Chard Guard and Primal Wall-nut to easily stall zombies, especially All-Star Zombie's which spawns throughout the level. Only use the Boost Tiles when there are plenty of dangerous zombies such as: Imp Cannons, Gargantuar Prime, Turquoise Skull Zombie, and All-Star Zombies or when there is a huge hoard of zombies, so that you can easily decimate them. You might want to bring a plant that can defrost frozen plants because of Hunter Zombie. In all, the level should be quite easy because of the Boost Tile easily giving you a headstart on sun production and a best way to destroy groups of zombies.
