Epic Quest: Pyre Vine! is an Epic Quest that features 5 of the Premium Plant Quest for Pyre Vine. It lasted from September 30, 2019 to November 11, 2019, June 29, 2020 to July 8, 2020, and December 9, 2020 to December 16, 2020 The reward in a Premium Pinata that contains 50 Seed packets for World/Premium Plants. (Before 2020 it was 5000 coin's)

Step 1

Pyre Vine will be very helpful here because of the chilling wind and Hunter Zombie since it is immune from being frosted, so be sure to plant Puff-shroom ontop of Pyre Vine to ensure that they wont get frozen. Puff-shroom is your main attacking plant but alone, he can't defeat Conehead Peasants or Buckethead Peasants, so make sure you have Pyre Vine, to deal constant damage to zombies, make sure they are around column 6-8 so that, zombies can easily be in their attacking range. Spikeweed is also helpful because they can also damage constantly, they are really effective in clearing out Zombie Chicken's summoned from Chicken Wrangler Zombie. However, Sunday Edition Zombie and Gargantuar Prime spawns often in this level, and the attacking plant alone, will take a while to defeat them, that's why Thyme Warp can help send back zombies from the start, to avoid any zombies from triggering the Lawn Mower's. Spikeweed with Pyre Vine is not a good combo because zombies will have to eat the Pyre Vine, in order to walk over the Spikeweed, so if you want Spikeweed to not be frozen, then plant a Pyre Vine nearby. Use Plant Food on Pyre Vine that is panted on of Puff-shroom to easily deal severe damage in its lane and to revive Puff-shroom life span, Plant Food should be used when there is a Sunday Edition Zombie or Gargantuar Prme, to easily reduce their health.

Dialogue

Penny: Vines are special plants that can be planted on top of other plants

Penny: Plant Pyre Vine on other plants for warming against cold and a fiery offensive boost.

Step 2

Protecting the Flowers should be quite easy because of Chard Guard knocking close zombies and pushing them back, be sure to plant Pyre Vine uplose (best if, behind the flowers or Chard Guard), so that when zombies are eating the Chard Guard, Pyre Vine can deal damage without zombies moving, also plant them ontop of plants as fast as you can, so that the plant it was planted ontop will not get frozen. Kernel-pult is really useful since it can easily stall tough zombies such as: Buckethead Peasants and Blockhead Zombie, as well as Octo Zombie, Excavator Zombie, and Boombox Zombie since Octo Zombie can easily wrap up Chard Guard which allows zombies to bypass it, and Boombox Zombie can easily stall important plants such as Chard Guard and Pyre Vine, you can use Chard Guard to knock back Boombox Zombie, so that it stalls him from reaching column 6, Pyre Vine is a good plant at getting rid of Octopus. Tile Turnip is really important in this level since lots of Plant Food is given, and you need it to easily clear out the large lane of zombies, you should first plant it on a Pyre Vine in each row, so that you can easily destroy lots of zombies when you feed a Pyre Vine with Plant Food, be sure to also plant it on a Kernel-pult so that when Plant Food is activated, Kernel-pult can stall all zombies, and be sure to plant some Tile Turnips on Chard Guard, to push back groups of zombies, if they are really close to the flower, plant any remaining Tile Turnips on Pyre Vine. Since lots of Plant Food is given, you should easily defeat the Deep Sea Gargantuar's when they spawn.

Step 3

Spore-shroom is your main firepower, as these plants can easily shoot from far distances, but because of chilling winds and Hunter Zombie, be sure to always plant them on Spore-shroom. Weasel Hoarder should not be much of a problem because Pyre Vine can constantly damage Ice Weasel's until they are defeated, which is really fast. Be sure to plant some Pyre Vine and Spore-shroom on Power Tile's, so that you can easily have Plant Food effect on several lanes to defeat tough zombies such as: Robo-Cone Zombie and Mecha-Football Zombie. Pyre Vine is a good choice against Troglobite because she can easily damage the Frozen block's and Troglobite at the same time, while Spore-shroom can only attack Troglobite. Portal's spawn upclose on the lawn, so try having 2 or three Pyre Vine behind the Portal. Wall-nut can be used to stall zombies a bit, its a very good combo with Pyre Vine since Pyre Vine can deal constant damage while the zombie is being stalled, just make sure a Mecha Football Zombie is not in the way. When the Gargantuar Prime/Sloth Gargantuar arrives, use any Plant Food to easily reduce its health, the summoned Imp should easily be defeated.

Step 4

This level is quite challenging because the plants given aren't quite that much strong and can easily be overwhelmed by Cave Buckethead Zombies and Blockhead Zombie. And not to mention, Pyre Vine is vital because of the constant chilling winds and Hunter Zombie that can easily freeze your plants, if left unguarded. The pre-planted Wall-nuts are also important because they are the only protecting plants that you have in this level. When the level begins, start plant Starfruit in C5R2 and C5R4 so that you can defrost the Wall-nut, keep in mind though that Yeti Imps will also be defrosted in the process, and the Yeti Imp could get out of Starfruit range, so use Peashooter's to easily defeat them. Start planting Pyre Vine behind Wall-nuts, so that Pyre Vine can deal continuous damage while zombies are being stalled, 2 or 3 Pyre Vine behind Wall-nut should help, not will Pyre Vine damage zombies being stalled but also damage Jetpack Zombie since he will fly over the Wall-nut instead. Plant Food is very important, and you should only use them when there are groups of Blockhead Zombies since they can easily eat the Wall-nut because of how strong they are, if the Wal-nut is almost eaten, then start planting in front of the Wall-nut to protect it. Make sure Pyre Vines can defrost the Wall-nut if frozen. All-Star Zombie is the biggest problem since he can easily destroy Wall-nut in one tackle, mare sure you have a plant in front of the way, to easily avoid the Wall-nut from being tackled, or plant a Pyre Vine ontop of the Wall-nut, to tackle the Pyre Vine instead of the Wall-nut.

Note: Blockhead Zombie, Hunter Zombie, and All-Star Zombie spawns at random

Step 5

The level at most part should be easy. As the pre-planted Sunflower's give you a headstart on sun production and the Peashooter on Pyre Vine gives you a headstart in your defense. Start by planting a column of Sunflower's, after that plant as much Peashooter's ontop of Pyre Vine, use Stunion to stall zombies if needed and use Wall-nut to stall zombies such as: Buckethead Zombie and Camel Zombies (Pyre Vine is best against Camel Zombies, because of attacking all 4 segments at once, this also applies to Troglobite). Stunion is also important against Jester Zombie, so that he can't deflect Peashooter's projectiles and can easily be defeated. You should use Plant Food when the Disco-tron 3000 spawns, so that you can easily reduce his damage, the summoned Disco Jetpack Zombies should easily be defeated. Wizard Zombie should be stunned with Stunion, so that he can't transform any plant into zombies.
