Epic Quest: Hocus Crocus! is an Epic Quest that features 5 of the Premium Plant Quest for Hocus Crocus. It lasted from January 18, 2021 to March 1, 2021. The reward is an Premium Pinata that contains 50 Seed packets for Hocus Crocus.

Step 1

Most of the time Threepeater's will be your main firepower for this level, easily destroying weak zombies such as: summoned Imps, ZCorp New Hire, Zcorp Contractor Conehead, and ZCorp Contractor Buckethead. Hocus Crocus will be important in sending back the Gargantuars in this level, since they can easily overwhelm you. While Hocus Crocus is recharging, use Iceberg Lettuce to stall Gargantuars, especially Gargantuar Prime which can easily destroy plants with laser's, Cherry Bomb is really important in destroying the Gargantuars, try blowing them up in crowds, so you have to use less Cherry Bomb, remember to have Hocus Crocus ready to send back launched Imps back to column 9, Gargimp Legal is a big threat when launch because he can easily crush plants, if no Hocus Crocus are ready then stall him with Iceberg Lettuce. Use Plant Food on Threepeater, to deal some extra damage to zombies or if a zombie is really close then use Hocus Crocus. Keep in mind that Cherry Bomb will only be available until wave 7, so until then try stalling and damaging them as much as possible.

Dialogue

Penny: Plant Hocus Crocus to magic close zombies to the back of the lawn.

Step 2

For most part it is easy to win this level by stacking up Pea Pods and increasing their firepower, however to much zombies will easily overwhelm them in some cases, that is you use Hocus Crocus to send back zombies such as: Buckethead Zombies, they are also helpful in sending back Swashbuckler Zombie and Relic Hunter Zombie since they arrive midway in the lawn usually more closer to the house which is an advantage to send them back to the end of the lawn. Wall-nut should be used to stall zombies, keep in mind that Mecha-Football Zombie can push these plants, so use Hocus Crocus to send him back to the end of the lawn where he can't push plants, use Pea Pods to finish him off. Additionally, Lightning Reed can help by dealing splash damage to zombies, though it does little at a time, it helps damage them. Magnet-shroom can also help by removing Buckets from Buckethead Zombie, easier for plants to defeat them. Use Plant Food on Hocus Crocus if there are lots of zombies close to your house or on Pea Pod to deal strong damage.

Step 3

The biggest problem in this level is the Chicken Wrangler Zombie which can easily spawn Zombie Chicken's once damaged a bit, since Hocus Crocus deal damage with every teleportation, it will cause Chicken Wrangler Zombie to spawn Zombie Chicken's which can easily cause you to loose the levels. Spikeweed may seem helpful in easily destroying Zombie Chickens, however Barrel Roller Zombie can easily crush your plants, so that mean it can crush Spikeweed and if Zombie Chickens spawn on that moment, then it can be a problem, Hocus Crocus will have no other choice but to teleport a single Zombie Chicken instead of a more bigger problem. Plant some Guacodile during those cases because he can easily clear out his lane, clear out Tombstones and destroy an Barrel Roller Zombie which means that the Barrel can't crush since its not moving, they are also helpful against Seagull Zombie and Jetpack Zombie because they can easily destroy them, unlike Spikeweed since he can't damage airborne zombies, keep in mind though that once Guacodile charge can also trigger any Chicken Wrangler Zombie to summon Zombie Chicken if they didn't did so already, so plant some Spikeweed to easily destroy those summoned Zombie Chickens or plant some Guacodile in the 2nd or third column in case of an emergency. Use Plant Food on Guacodile, to easily destroy all zombies in its lane or on Hocus Crocus to send back a group of zombies.

Step 4

Bowling Bulb will be very reliable in this level because of Tombstones, they can also attack other zombies in other lanes as well as damage Tombstones, however Excavator Zombie will not be damaged from Bowling Bulb, so in this case use Fume-shroom to damage him since he is strikethrough, use Hocus Crocus when he is about to dig up a plant, so that he will be sent back to the back of the lawn to not dig any plants. Imp Cannons can be a issue since they can launch Imps on the the middle of the lawn, causing Hocus Crocus to send him back instead of a more serious zombie, try use Kernel-pult to stall him so that they don't launch Imps and use Bowling Bulb to finish the Imp Cannon off, however if a Excavator Zombie is blocking plants to attack the Imp Cannon, then use Fume-shroom. Wizard Zombie can easily be hidden inside a crowd of zombies, which is why Bowling Bulb is helpful in defeating them, Kernel-pult butter can also take a longer time for him to turn a plant into a sheep. Bowling Bulb should be enough to easily decimate Gargantuar Pirate if all bulbs are ready, you can use Hocus Crocus to send the summoned Imp back to end of the lawn or if the Gargantuar is too close, use Plant Food on Bowling Bulb to deal massive damage and to destroy groups of zombies, this effect can easily destroy Gargantuar's or on Kernel-pult to stall zombies.

Step 5

Protecting the endangered Tall-nuts will be very easy because it will take a while to be eaten because of his tough health, and they can easily be send back the start of the lawn by Hocus Crocus, however keep a watch them and defend fiericly if degrades are forming on the Tall-nut. Clearing out the Tombstone is also needed in order to have more space to plant, use Split Pea to clear out Tombstones behind him as well as Prospector Zombie if he has preformed his ability, then plant as much Red Stinger's behind the fourth column since they can deal strong damage to easily take out ZCorp Contractor and ZCorp Contractor Conehead as well as possibly ZCorp Contractor Buckethead, the reason why Prospector should be easily defeated by Split Pea is so that Hocus Crocus don't target him in send him back to the start of the lawn instead of other dangerous zombies since Prospector Zombie will already be defeated, same also applies to Swashbuckler Zombiesince three columns of Red Stingers can easily defeat them. Enchant-mint can also help by increasing teleportation damage and Hocus Crocus having less rest time to send back zombies, easily helpful in defeating weak zombies. Use Plant Food on Hocus Crocus when boosting my Enchant-mint to teleport lots of zombies back to the start or even defeat them, Split Pea or Red Stinger to damage zombies in its lane, or on Tall-nut if one of them are about to be eaten.
