The Buckethead Zombie absorbs 1290 damage, withstanding 65 pea shots, and his appearance changes upon absorbing 350, 700, 1100 (when the bucket is destroyed), and 1195 (when his arm falls off) before dying at 1290 damage.
In the Chinese version, Buckethead Zombies (with the exception of Roman Buckethead) absorb 1370 damage, withstanding 69 pea shots, and their appearance changes upon absorbing 350, 700, 1100 (when the bucket is destroyed) and 1235 (when their arm falls off) before dying at 1370 damage.
Buckethead Pilot Zombie absorbs 770 damage, withstanding 39 pea shots, and his appearance changes upon absorbing 166, 332, 500 (when the bucket is destroyed), and 635 (when his arm falls off) before dying at 770 damage.
His bucket hat makes him extremely resistant to damage.
There was a time when Buckethead Zombie was hailed as a zombie genius for his innovative bucket-on-head strategy. It's been a few years, though, and zombies wonder if he's got any surprises left. His secret? He doesn't.

Buckethead Labor Zombie was rewarded with a salary increase a few days ago. He was very happy, so he asked the forger to forge a labeled iron bucket helmet for him. This iron bucket not only resisted a lot of damage for him, but also highlighted his identity!
The Buckethead Zombie has the same behavior as it does in the prequel. Like its prequel counterpart, Potato Mines, Chompers, Squashes, and other instant-use plants can instantly kill these types, even in world variations.
Magnet-shrooms are a great way of dealing Buckethead Zombies when there are too many in groups. Use Plant Food on it to remove almost every bucket and fling all the buckets to deal greater units of damage to tombstones and zombies. Be careful though, as these zombies can be spawned during surprise attacks (such as Necromancy, Low Tide, Sandstorm, etc.).
Magnifying Grasses can also be useful against Buckethead Zombies, but not when there are lots in groups. To avoid wasting tons of sun, use Plant Food on a Magnet-shroom to remove all the buckets.
Tangle Kelp in Big Wave Beach can instantly drown a Buckethead Zombie like in the prequel. Be sure to put it close to the Buckethead Zombie so the Tangle Kelp will kill it instantly. Banana Launchers can also deal heavy damage to Buckethead Zombies, so that splash damage in one lane can kill almost every Buckethead Zombie quicker when they overlap.
Shadow-shrooms are extremely useful on this zombie as it ignores armor. One powered by a Moonflower will quickly kill a group of clumped up zombies including the Buckethead himself. Other alternatives are Chili Bean, Grimrose, and Hypno-shroom, as they can also ignore armor. Sun Bean fed with Plant Food will not only kill the zombie instantly, but will also reward the player with a decent amount of sun.

Trivia
The regular Buckethead Zombie says in the present Almanac entry that he was "hailed as a zombie genius for his innovative bucket-on-head strategy“, despite the presence of his historical predecessors.
The Prehistoric Buckethead Zombie's almanac entry references the fact that the blue is an extremely rare color for animals to be, due to the narrow range of pigments that would cause them to grow blue fur in nature.
The "clang" sound is lighter than in the first game, almost inaudible at times.
Prior to the 2.5.1 update, the Almanac entry of the Buckethead Peasant had a bone sticking out his arm.
This also currently happens to Buckethead Adventurer Zombie.
He also has a different standing animation (similar to a Pirate Zombie) and has shoulder armor like a regular knight, unlike in an actual game.
In the Chinese version, a level 3 Buckethead Zombie can absorb 4110 damage per shot which make his health even higher than a regular Gargantuar. It takes 3 level 1 instant kill plants to kill him.
However, a level 1 Jalapeno as well as a level 1 Cherry Bomb can still kill him instantly due to both plants piercing armor.
Magnet-shroom can still steal the buckets of Buckethead Mummy, Buckethead Pirate, Cave Buckethead, Jurassic Buckethead Zombie, and Buckethead Samurai Zombie even though they are not made of metal, but instead, are made of wood, clay, or rock.
Those buckets also make the "clang" sound despite not being made of metal.
In the case of Buckethead Pirate, his bucket does have metal rings around it, which could explain why Magnet-Shroom can steal it.
In the case of Cave Buckethead, his stone bucket has metal ores visibly stuck on it, which could also explain why Magnet-shroom can steal it.
While Buckethead Mummy has metal rings on his bucket, these are most likely made of gold due to their appearance, and gold is not magnetic.
Neon Buckethead is called "Neon Buckethead Zombie" in his Almanac entry.
Peasant Buckethead has a brown stain and Neon Buckethead has a blue stain instead of red.
There is a bug where Buckethead Zombie can get hit off screen and lose its arm from Lava Guava. This also applies to Conehead Zombie.
Jurassic Buckethead is currently the only Jurassic Marsh zombie that has both other world variants and no change in statistics.
There is a crude drawing of a bucket on Jurassic Buckethead's bucket, similar to that of Primal Wall-nut's Plant Food armor.
Future Buckethead's Almanac entry says that plants kept to themselves in 2008, which was a year before the first game.
However, in the first game, Imitater's Almanac entry says that there was a war between plants and zombies in 1976.
Cave Buckethead, Jurassic Buckethead Zombie and Jurassic Rockpuncher use rocks. These facts are a reference to the Paleolithic Era, in which humans used rocks and stones during dry and cold seasons before civilizations are made.
Buckethead Peasant’s almanac icon depict him eating.
All of the Buckethead's internal names end with the suffix _armor2, except for Lawnbowl Buckethead, which ends in _buckethead instead.
Pilot Buckethead also follows this naming scheme, but only partially as there are actually two versions of him in the code, the regular variant skycity_armor2 and a visually identical but tankier variant called skycity_armor3.
Like the other zombies with purely cosmetic flames such as Super-Fan Imp and most Summer Nights zombies, Buckethead Labor Zombie's flame does not get extinguished when he is frozen or chilled.
The flame's animation also stops once the bucket drops onto the ground.
An early, unused Almanac entry for Buckethead Adventurer Zombie calls him Kettlehead Adventurer Zombie.
