Endless Challenge
Endless Challenge (无尽挑战; pinyin; Wújìn tiǎozhàn) is an event in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. It is a worldwide competition and the rewards are a currency called Time Tokens. It is only held on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The challenge starts at 12:00PM on Thursday and ends at 12:00AM on Monday.
Gameplay
The levels are technically endless in the competition, even though it is only possible to reach level 149. The levels are played in Last Stand format, but there is a seed packet limit for every plant depending on their quality. A plant with a White and Green quality will start with 10 seed packets and have a max limit of 25 and 20 respectively, Blue plants start with 8 and max at 20, Purple plants begin with 5 and max at 15, and Orange plants start with 3 and max at 10. After the limit for a plant has been reached, the player cannot use that plant until they obtain more of its seed packets. Every time the player wins a level, 5 different plants will be chosen to have their seed packet limit increased, increasing the amount of times players can plant a certain plant. The amount of seed packets increased also depends on their rarity, with White plants increasing their amount by 3, Green and Blue plants by 2, and Purple and Orange plants by 1. Most sun producing plants are disabled since it is played in a pseudo-Last Stand format. However, Toadstool, Moonflower, and Gold Bloom can still be used. Imitater is also disabled in this mode, mostly due to its ability to mimic plants, which would double that plant's seed packet limit. Every time the player wins a level, they will also get a certain amount of sun, which increases by 50 for every level passed. Players also get 10 Time Tokens for every level beaten. This number increases to 15 after level 10 and will increase again in later levels. Every fifth level is a boss level, which gives extra tokens. The player also gets scores by completing levels. The zombies' level increases gradually, with the maximum level a zombie can have capping out at 10.
Zombie levels past 4 also ramp much higher in this mode. Level 5 zombies have 15 times more health and damage, level 6 is 50 times, level 7 is 250 times, level 8 is 1000 times, level 9 is 5000 times, and level 10 is 30000 times. For reference, a level 10 Basic Zombie would have 8100000 health, with 3000000 eat DPS.
There is no game over if the player loses, levels can be replayed over and over again, though no points will be rewarded. However, players can reset their progress once a day to regain Time Tokens from the very start. The player is given a free reset everyday, which costs 50 diamonds afterwards. After the player resets, the player will be given the option to spend gems in order to skip 5 levels, ending up at the level they last played before resetting. This also lets players earn Time Tokens, sun and seed packet limits without the need to play levels.
Players are ranked by their scores. The more score the player has, the higher their rank will be. The higher their rank is, the more rewards they will get every day while the competition is running.

Strategies
Overall, it is a good idea to expensive and powerful plants like Board Beans, Banana Launcher, Winter Melon, Firebloom Queen, Coconut Cannon and Citron in the first 40 levels. Most legendaries are extremely useful and highly recommended. Sap-fling or Primal Rafflesia is also recommended to slow down zombies if your defense don't work with ice based plants. If there are excessive Plant Foods in the end of a level, use it on a Potato Mine, a Chili Bean or a Primal Potato Mine because the clones won't disappear.
Also note that permanent Plant Food effects (like Wall-nut's and Torchwood's) will not last to the next round. So, don't use Plant Food on this kind of plants unless necessary.
There are certain dangerous zombies in each Endless Zone. It is recommended to quit the level during the seed selection screen and re-enter to re-roll for better zombies.
- There is a strategy that can instantly kill most zombies regardless of level that is essential for getting to the higher waves:
- Clump up as many zombies as possible into a one or two lanes thus using Garlic, Hot Date, Sweet Potato is recommended (even better if on level 4);
- Use Phat Beet's costumed Plant Food effect to toss the zombies into the air;
- Use Hurrikale on those lanes while the zombies are in the air, if your timing is right, every zombie should die instantly.
- Use Phat Beet's costumed Plant Food effect to toss the zombies into the air;
- This strategy can kill all zombies except for Fisherman Zombies, Zombie Kings and Jurassic Bullies. Note that if you mess up the timing, the zombies will become immune to knockback and you will have to restart the level. This makes it so you only have one shot at this strategy.
- Clump up as many zombies as possible into a one or two lanes thus using Garlic, Hot Date, Sweet Potato is recommended (even better if on level 4);
- Magnifying Grass is a good plant, especially on boss battles, but keep track of the amount of sun you have.
- Escape Root has a glitch that makes it invincible, if the player doesn't have good knockback plants like level 5 Primal Peashooter, using it with Sweet Potato and waiting for the final wave to use Hurrikale is a good option.
- Don't use too many type of plants because you can only get seed packets for 5 plants after completing each level. Using too many type of plants will cause "lack of seed packets".
- Only use Blovers or Hurrikales when necessary.
- In Neon Mixtape Tour, always put a Morning Glory on the 5th column to avoid damage done by Hair Metal Gargantuar's smash and Zombot Multi-stage Masher's speakers. If you don't have it, you can use an Infi-nut instead. Use the Infi-nut if you are planting 7 columns or more, as columns 7,8 and 9 would be cleared during the boss battle, meaning you would have to replace a full column of them every 5 levels, and rare card packets are mucheasier to obtain than legendary ones. Use Morning Glory if you are planning to plant 6 columns or less as they give extra attack.
- Using plants like Chard Guards isn't a good idea, because higher level zombies may be able to bite on Chard Guards before knocking them back, therefore dealing a lot of damage. Instead, Primal Peashooter is a much better option.
- Tile Turnips are strongly recommended and you should place them as much as you should, on tiles with strong plants.
- Since in later waves (50 or further), zombies are harder to kill, it's a good idea to slow them down with Winter Melon, Cold Snapdragon, Apple Mortar or the like.
- The maximum amount of sun is normally 20000 in terms of sun given after beating levels, however using Toadstool, Moonflower, Gold Bloom or buying sun with gems could get the sun value to the maximum of 33464.
- Chef Cypripedium can be used in Dead Man's Booty specifically in the plank lanes as the odor can divert zombies to the plankless water lanes, making it incredibly easy to deal with the plank lanes.
- Draftodil on the other hand can be used on the plankless water lanes in order to easily deal with Swashbuckler Zombies and Seagull Zombies, as well as combining with a knockback plant for a slightly more efficiency in rare cases of Swashbucklers actually landing on the tiles.
- A more free-to-play option, although much inferior, is to use Primal Peashooter (preferably levelled) in order to knock Imp Pirate Zombies thrown by the Imp Cannons and Swashbuckler Zombies back into the water.
- Draftodil on the other hand can be used on the plankless water lanes in order to easily deal with Swashbuckler Zombies and Seagull Zombies, as well as combining with a knockback plant for a slightly more efficiency in rare cases of Swashbucklers actually landing on the tiles.

Trivia
- For unknown reasons, Perfume-shroom cannot be used in Jurassic Marsh's endless zone, despite Perfume-shroom being usable only in Jurassic Marsh levels.
- Kongfu World boss battles does not include any minecarts, making it even harder.
- In addition, the lawn mowers in boss battles in this world use Ancient Egypt lawn mowers instead of the Kongfu World lawn mowers.
- Walking Guard Zombie and the first phase of Mirror Queen Zombie could formerly appear in Wonderland Rabbit Hole in the v3.5.1 update, before being quickly removed in the v3.5.2 update.
