Prior to the 7.4 update, Pirate Seas - Day 29 was the 29th day of Pirate Seas. The Barrelhead Zombie is first introduced in this level. He is a Pirate Zombie wearing a barrel on his head that is the Pirate Seas variant of the brick, which is tougher than a bucket and a knight helm. Upon completing the level, the player receives a money bag.

As of the 7.4 update, level expansions were removed from the world maps and placed into epic quests. Because of this, this level is no longer accessible from the map, and must be accessed when the epic quest is available.

Difficulty

The plants given are similar to the ones given on Pirate Seas - Day 5, but without Wall-nut, and in exchange for Spikeweed. This change however makes the level difficult. The absence of a defensive plant, combined with the only attacking plant being Kernel-pult makes it hard to attack zombies, and its butter doesn't help with the objective. In addition, the zombies start to come in fast, and Kernel-pults are very poor at defeating them quickly. The new Barrelhead Zombie is introduced, which has a lot of health. Cherry Bomb should be used against them, as Kernel-pults and Spikeweeds will have extreme difficulty. There are also Imp Cannons that will likely explode unless there is Spikeweed under them. Barrel Roller Zombies and Gargantuar Pirates will constantly get rid of Spikeweeds, so remember to keep resupplying them. Also try save some sun, as your Sunflowers will probably get eaten.

Do not forget about the extra objective as well, as the player can go through the whole thing and lose because of it. Defeating 20 zombies in 8 seconds is a big challenge, since Kernel-pults and Spikeweeds do very little damage. Cherry Bombs will have to be used at the right time to get the objective met. However, plant it wisely, because of its slow recharge.

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost lane.
