Chief Ice Wind Zombie (冰风酋长僵尸; pinyin: bīng fēng qiúzhǎng jiāngshī) is a zombie encountered in Frostbite Caves in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. He breathes icy winds that slowly freeze all the plants in the lane where he is. He is an environment modifier.

Chief Ice Wind Zombie defeated all other zombies in a leaf-blowing match and became the chief of the zombie tribe, so he decided to hold a sports competition in his tribe. Chief Ice Wind Zombie absorbs 900 damage and loses its arm at 450 damage.

Strategies

He is similar to Hunter Zombie in the sense that they both have the ability to freeze plants. Chief Ice Wind Zombie can be considered the more dangerous of the two, as he can freeze all the plants in a lane and move faster across the lawn, while Hunter Zombie can freeze only one and moves at Creeper speed. Do what you do against a Hunter Zombie against him, only that this zombie's ice winds are more powerful and he may freeze plants faster than your fire plants can thaw. Jalapenos can easily undo his work and kill other dangerous zombies such as Troglobites and Walrus Zombies.

• He seems like he is wearing Archaeotherium headwear.
• His body shape is unique, as he is much taller than a normal or muscular zombie, but not as tall as a gargantuar.
• While not being in the main levels, Chief Ice Wind Zombie appears in Plants vs. Zombies Online’s Adventure Mode.
