Ducky Tube

Ducky Tube is a zombie introduced in the 10.5 update of Plants vs. Zombies 2. They are a basic zombie set and come in Conehead and Buckethead variants.

Ducky Tubes are able to move more quickly in water, similarly to their Plants vs. Zombies 3 counterparts.

Overview

Ducky Tube is a zombie initially from Plants vs. Zombies, though the ability to move faster in water comes originally from Plants vs. Zombies 3: Welcome to Zomburbia. Ducky Tube absorbs 190 damage, losing its left arm once absorbing 95 damage, before finally dying. Ducky Tubes will move 20% faster when walking in water.

	TOUGHNESS Average SPEED Basic With its inflatable duck-like flotation apparatus, the Ducky Tube can quickly waddle its way through water with ease. Special: Increase [sic] movement while on water. While many scientists argue over the origins of the Ducky Tube, few can deny its classification. Clearly it is not a duck as some would like to believe.

Trivia

• Despite assets existing for a Brickhead variant for Ducky Tube, said assets are never used and a Brickhead variant currently doesn't exist, though it may be used in a future Thymed Event.
  • Similarly, the Flag Zombie variant from the first game never returned nor made it to the game's code.
• Despite officially being considered Big Wave Beach zombies, Ducky Tubes use the Player's House zombies' appearance.
  • This is to make it appear closer to its original design from the first game.
• Ducky Tube coincidentally shares the same concept and mechanics as the Fast Swimmer Zombie, who was unused until the Big Beach Brawl Thymed Event.
• Unlike in the first game, Ducky Tube's Conehead and Buckethead variants have individual Almanac entries.
  • This trait also makes it different from Bug Zombie and 8-Bit Zombie, whose regular variants are only shown in the Almanac.
• Unlike other versions of Ducky Tube Zombie, Ducky Tube and its variants in this game wear a pair of arm floaties.
