Tier Explanations

  • S+-tier: The S+-tier houses what are in my opinion the best plants in the game. These plant often play an important part in my strategies, and I always consider using them. These plants are either very overpowered and should be nerfed, or are just very good.
  • S-tier: This tier is the compliment of the S+-tier. These plants are very good, and incredibly useful in a lot of situations. What keeps them out of the S+-tier though is that they have some checks and balances. But these plants should not be over looked in your strategies.
  • A-tier: The A-tier houses a lot of plants that are good, but not great in my opinion. These plants are definitely usable, and they're good, but they have more exploitable weaknesses than plants in higher tiers. Still though, always consider these plants.
  • B-tier: These plants are pretty niche. They don't work in as many situations as plants in tiers above them, but when they work, they work pretty well. Overall though, these plants are only decent but not great, but I'd still consider some of these
  • C-tier: These plants are average. A lot of these plants are good at clearing out normal levels but suck at endless zones, or require certain situations for them to work well. But they can still perform well given the right scenarios.
  • D-tier: These plants are mediocre. Almost all of them are outclassed by something in higher tiers, or they require setup or specific scenarios to work well.
  • E-tier: These plants are pretty bad. While you can certainly use them, there's pretty much a better option over each of them. But it's not the end of the world if you have to use these plants.
  • F-tier: I never consider these plants. These plants are very bad, often having very exploitable weaknesses, massive amounts of setup with little payoff, or are just generally useless.
  • F--tier: Never EVER use these plants. They are worthless, and all of them are outclassed by something. Stay away from these at all costs.
  • G-tier: This tier is just here to house the remaining plants that are world exclusive, and are thus not judged against other plants.
