Here Come Some Roman Zombies! - Level 1
Here Come Some Roman Zombies - Level 1 is the first level of the Here Come Some Roman Zombies event in Penny's Pursuit. It takes place in Big Wave Beach and bears resemblance to Big Wave Beach - Day 30. It has added new objectives and zombie swaps, similar to other Penny's Pursuit levels. In addition to the zombie swaps, there are also added some zombies: extra Basic, Conehead and Buckethead Zombies will appear.
Difficulty
Similar to the original level, this level can be very difficult because of the early surprise attacks and additional Roman Zombies. Players must set up heavy offensive plants and stalling plants. They must also pay attention to the endangered Guacodiles, as the zombies may easily trigger them despite the difficulty.
Difficulty Swaps
In Penny's Pursuit, the zombies in this level can swap depending on the difficulty chosen.

Strategies
Strategy 1:
- Select the hypnotise zombies perk beforehand. This will hopefully eliminate the tough gargantuars, particularly at higher difficulties.
Some recommended plants:
- 1. and
- is perhaps the best attacking plant in this level. It stalls the zombies to give enough time for the hypnotise zombies perk to take effect, it shoots through the octopi like . But the key to use is during the first low tide ambush. Plant your shadow peashooters (Column 4) in front of your moonflowers (Column 3) first, then fill up column 2 with shadow peas later, so that during this ambush, it can suck away some of these zombies. Good riddance!
- 2.
- It's plant food effect makes fisherman zombies useless, otherwise good luck meeting the don't lose more than 7 plants objective. Use your first Plant Food on infi-nut asap. Plant the infi-nut near the centre lane.
- 3. or
- 4.
- 5.
- 6.
- 7. , or
- knocks back the surfers and gargantuars. gets rid of octopi quickly and attacks all corners of the screen, which unfortunately cannot. But saves you a lily pad and acts as a temporary fisherman buffer if the infi-nut gets destroyed. However, you should only use them in harder difficulties if and only if they are high-levelled.
- Unfortunately this level is only possible to be completed and have both objectives met if you have a seedium plant (shadow peashooter) and/or have high-levelled plants, as this is not an easy level.
