Pollen Kate is a plant Battle Leader in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. She can also be found in Mount Steep as a possible recruit for the player's posse. She resembles a Sunflower wearing the "Sun Monarch" Costume.

Origins

Her name is a pun on "pollinate," referencing her butterfly-like appearance, and the name "Kate."

Strategies

As a Battle Leader

Pollen Kate is one of the more infuriating battle leaders to fight against. Unlike her Zombie counterpart, Dr. Spork, her healing is almost always guaranteed -- as her Champion Sunflowers can use Heal Beam and heal Pollen Kate perpetually. They can also supply her with a great amount of overhealth, which can prolong the battle even further. Try to separate Pollen Kate away from her Sunflowers as much as possible.

Super Brainz and Captain Deadbeard with the Scuttle Shot upgrade can push her away from all of her healers. However, Super Brainz is more advised since along with Sunflowers, Pollen Kate can summon in Citrons. Deadbeard's low health could cause him to get vaquished easily and giving the Champion Sunflowers time to heal Pollen Kate.

As a Posse Member

Pollen Kate is an excellent choice for a posse member as she provides healing support. Pollen Kate could be ignored if one's posse consists of tankier members with high health, if the player plans on providing healing support themselves, or if one has extreme confidence in their abilities.
