This article is about minor non-playable characters that appeared in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. They serves as hang-out characters that talk to the players when they are close to them
Plants
Beau Tanic
Beau Tanic is an NPC who can be found in the upper level of Dave Manor, next to room containing Rux's Bazaar. She is a Peashooter that wears the Precious Floral set and is in charge of character promotion, speaking to her allows the player to be able to promote characters and claim rank rewards. Her dialogue also changes depending on the player's progress on the single-player campaign areas.
Her zombie counterpart is Majestico.
Dale Boat
Dale Boat is an NPC found next to the Dave Manor's target practice area. He is a Chomper that wears the Captain Crabcakes set. He offers very little other than sailor and pirate related quotes. These quotes change depending on the current Festival and the player's progress in the single-player campaign areas.
His zombie counterpart is Monty.
Sour Corn
Sour Corn is a Kernel Corn that appeared in Dave Manor near the piano room. He wears the Corn Brotherhood costume and having a personality of disgust. Like Dale Boat, his dialogue changes depending on the current Festival.
His closest zombie counterpart is Winston.
Passportia
Passportia is an NPC found next the launch pads leading into Giddy Park. She is a Cactus that wears the Tourist set. She provides dialogue educating the player about Giddy Park, with her dialogue changing depending on the current Festival. She is Exposition Al's sister, according to her dialogue during the Summer DayZ festival.
Her zombie counterpart is Bea Careful.
Ol' Dillian
Ol' Dillian is an NPC found in the Rux's Bazaar room in Dave Manor. He is a Bitter Dill who was introduced to tease the upcoming Turf Takeover map Preserve Pastures. He reveals himself to be 73 years old, yet looking far younger, referencing the spa that the final objective of Preserve Pastures takes place in. He returns during the Snow Day Festival.
His zombie counterpart is Gossip Gil.
PVT. Warren
PVT. Warren is a Peashooter that wears the Aviary set. He can be found in Sundrop Hills of Town Center.
PVT. Terry Fied
PVT. Terry Fied is an Acorn wearing a white Potted Protection hat that appears in Sundrop Hills of Town Center.
Sandra
Sandra is one of Tenderleaf's friend who appeared in the quest I Treasure You and is the first Acorn you rescue. She wears the Feathered Arrow Cap.
Ira
Ira is one of Tenderleaf's friends who appeared in the quest I Treasure You and is the second Acorn you rescue. She wears the Floral Beauty spectrum hat colored blue.
Dennis
Dennis is one of Tenderleaf's friends who appeared in the quest I Treasure You and is the third Acorn you rescue. They wear the Beach Nut set.
Mike
Mike is a Squash who can be escorted through the top of Sundrop Hills for a hike, and once the hike is finished at the camp site at the top of the hill, the player will be awarded with the Hike with Mike medal.
Wes Tern
Wes Tern is an NPC found in the plant base in the Olde Town section of Mount Steep. He is a Chomper wearing the Olive Chomper costume and the Z-Chomp teeth. He does not impact the main story in any sense, only providing dialogue pertaining to his dim-witted demeanor and his desires for the player to find out what's disrupting the Mount Steep cheese line. After the main story objective is complete, his dialogue changes to congratulating the player for their victory.
His name is a pun on "western", referencing the overall look and theme of Mount Steep, specifically, Olde Town
Ember
Ember is an NPC found in the plant base in the Olde Town section of Mount Steep. He is a Snapdragon wearing the Crimson Dragon costume, but with the default Snapdragon hat, organics (Dragon Fins), and tail. He does not impact the main story in any sense, only providing dialogue pertaining to his grouchy demeanor and his desires for the player to find out what's disrupting the Mount Steep cheese line. After the main story objective is complete, his dialogue changes to congratulating the player for their victory.
His name references the fact that he's a Snapdragon, and can thus breathe fire.
Desert Rose
Desert Rose is an NPC that is found on the upper level of the plant base in the Olde Town section of Mount Steep. She is a Rose that wears the Floral Topper hat. She does not impact the story in any way and only gives the player dialogue.
She shares her name with the real life plant of the same name.
Original Glenn, Tall Glenn, Short Glenn, Glen with one "N", Weedley
Original Glenn, Tall Glenn, Short Glenn, Glen with one "N", and Weedley are Terracotta Weeds who are the posse members of the quest Will You Be My Posse?. Unlike the other possible posse members, they have their own unique dialogue shared amongst them, having a more sarcastic tone.

Champer
Champer is a Chomper that appears in the quest Will You Be My Posse? as a posse member. The player also has to duel him in a pie-eating contest that they'll always lose. Much like the other possible posse members, he shares dialogue with them.
His name is a play on the words "Chomper", the plant that he is, and "champ" short for champion, referencing the fact that he is unbeaten in the afformentioned pie-eating contest.
Mask R. Abe
Mask R. Abe is a Snapdragon posse member that appears in the quest Will You Be My Posse?. He wears the Jovial Jester set. Much like the other possible posse members, he shares dialogue with them.
His name is a pun on "masquerade", referencing the item set he's wearing.
Bren Faire
Bren Faire is a Citron posse member that appears in the quest Will You Be My Posse?. He wears the Feathered Sun Cap spectrum hat in its default color. Much like the other possible posse members, he shares dialogue with them.
His name is a pun on "ren faire", which is short for renaissance faire.
Billseye
Billeyse is an Acorn posse member who appears in the quest Will You Be My Posse?. He wears the Picnic Warrior set. Much like his fellow posse members, he shares dialogue with them.
His name is a pun on "bullseye".
Pick Nick
Pick Nick is an Oak who appears as a posse member in the quest Will You Be My Posse?. Like Billseye, he wears the Picnic Warrior set. Much like the other possible posse members, he shares dialogue with them.
His name is a pun on "picnic", referencing the item set he's wearing.

Diane
Diane is a Foot Soldier and an old member of Norm Alguy's squad who was caged due to being infected with the un-zombie disease. Like the rest of his crew, he has no customization.
Ding-Dong
Ding Dong is a Foot Soldier and another old member of Norm Alguy's squad who was caged due to being infected with the un-zombie disease. Like the rest of his crew, he has no customization.
The Sillyboy
The Sillyboy is the Foot Soldier and the last old member of Norm Alguy's squad who was caged due to being infected with the un-zombie disease. Like the rest of his crew, he has no customization.
