History

Plants vs. Zombies 2

Aloe's first appearance is in Plants vs. Zombies 2 as the first and currently only plant in the game whose main ability is to heal other plants.

He was formerly available through the now removed Epic Quest Aloe, Salut!. After the removal of the Epic Quests feature, Aloe has since had several irregular reappearances, obtainable with either Gems or seed packets.

Aloe heals any plant to his immediate right by dropping a large healing droplet on them, which heals for 500 hit points at a time before needing to recharge for 10 seconds. Aloe can only start healing a plant when its total health decreases to 50% or less. When fed Plant Food, Aloe will heal all plants in a 3x3 area to full health.

In the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2, Aloe reappears as the first plant obtained in the exclusive world Renaissance Age, as the second healing plant introduced after the Chinese exclusive plant Peach.

Like in her international appearance, Aloe's main purpose is to heal surrounding plants, unlike her international appearance, Aloe flings her droplet in the air which heals all plants in a 3x3 area instead of only to her immediate left, and she can heal plants at any health percentage instead of only at 50%.

Aloe can also boost the stats of any plant within her heal radius and has the added ability of removing Perfume Zombies poisonous perfume clouds, making her an ideal pick in most Renaissance Age levels. When fed Plant Food Aloe will lob five droplets randomly on the lawn which heals and boosts any plants in a 3x3 area around the tiles where the droplets land.

Plants vs. Zombies 3

While Aloe doesn't personally reappear in Plants vs. Zombies 3, Aloe Vera, a similarly named plant confirmed to be Aloe's sibling, does. Aloe Vera is an Epic rarity Support plant who is unlocked after clearing Floor 24 of Devour Tower. Her seed packets are more likely to be dropped in BBQ Beach breakout levels.

Cooling Gel3.png

Like Aloe's Chinese Plants vs. Zombies 2 appearance, Aloe Vera can heal plant in a surrounding 3x3 area, however she heals at a much faster rate and is unable to heal herself. Upgrading her with a Taco allows her to be able to chill and slow down any zombie attacking plants within her healing radius.

Trivia

Aloe VeraAS.png
  • Prior to Aloe's inclusion in Plants vs. Zombies 2, an unknown Aloe vera plant was discovered within the data for Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars. This plant would have restored health to the plant with the highest strength stat and restore health to all plants surrounding that plant. It is currently unknown why this plant was scrapped.
