This page records all the updates in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. The game may be updated at any time, opening new features and fixing or adding glitches that can be encountered during the game.

2013

  • August 1: The game was released for iOS.
  • September 12: The game was released for Android.

2014

  • January 23: Kongfu World - Days 1-15 and Daily Challenge (Treasure Yeti and Gargantuar) were added for Android.
  • April 10: Kongfu World - Days 16-30 and New Daily Challenge (Dr. Zomboss) were added for Android.
  • July 10: Kongfu World and Far Future were added for iOS. Far Future was added for Android.
  • August 26: Carrotillery was added as a monthly special plant. Also, plants could now be upgraded and given costumes.
  • September 28: Dandelion was added as a monthly special plant and Cherry Bomb can now be upgraded up to Level 3.
  • November 2: Strong Broccoli was added as a monthly special plant for Android.
  • November 11: Dark Ages was added (1.3.0).
  • November 28: Machine Gun Pomegranate was added as a monthly special plant for Android.
  • December 13: Strong Broccoli and Machine Gun Pomegranate were added as monthly special plants for iOS along with a Christmas event (1.3.3).
  • December 24: Chomper was added as a monthly special plant.

2015

  • February 2: Pomegunate was re-added as a monthly special plant. Also, version 1.3.4 was released for Android devices, including Sweet Potato.
  • February 5: Big Wave Beach was released for iOS users (1.4.0) The update also brought along Chinese New Year special events with Lion Dancer Zombies and the God of Wealth, which ran until March 31st.
  • February 8: Landlord Bamboo was added as a limited time plant for the Chinese New Year's event.
  • February 11: Big Wave Beach was released for Android devices (1.4.1) with a Chinese New Year event. Also, Sap-fling and Sweet Potato were added as monthly special plants.
  • February 17: Version 1.4.1 was re-released on iOS.
  • February 22: An update containing fixes and 120 gems for all players was released.
  • March 26: Version 1.4.2 was released with Ghost Pepper as a monthly special plant for Android users.
  • April 3: Version 1.4.2 was released with new monthly special plants Sweet Potato and Sap-fling for iOS users.
  • April 30 : Version 1.4.3 was released with Rotobaga as a monthly special plant.
  • May 7: Version 1.4.4 was released.
  • May 8: Version 1.4.5 was released.
  • May 21: The sneak peeks of Frostbite Caves started releasing.
  • May 28: Version 1.5.0 was released for iOS, along with Frostbite Caves.
  • June 2: Version 1.4.6 was soft released for Android, showcasing the monthly special plant Bamboo Bro.
  • June 9: Version 1.4.6 was officially released for Android, along with Bamboo Bro.
  • June 18: Version 1.5.0 was released for Android, along with Frostbite Caves. But in this version, all music in Android Version was lost.
  • June 18: Version 1.5.1 was released for iOS, along with Bamboo Bro and the fixing of a glitch in which the player could not bypass Frostbite Caves - Day 23.
  • July 9: Version 1.5.1 was released on Android, with the release of a new plant, Zorrose.
  • July 28: Version 1.5.2 was released on Android, with the release of a new plant, Magic-shroom.
  • August 11: Trailer for Sky City was released.
  • August 20: Version 1.6.0 was released on iOS, along with Magic-shroom, Zorrose, and Sky City.
  • August 28: Version 1.6.0 was released on Android, along with the monthly special plant Electric Blueberry and Sky City.
  • September 28: Version 1.6.1 was released on iOS, adding limited time plant, Mischief Radish, and National Day events.
  • September 29: Version 1.6.1 was released on Android along with the Mischief Radish, National Day events and Endurian as a monthly special.
  • October 28: Version 1.6.2 was released, adding the Birthdayz event with a limited time plant, Sunflower Singer, and Pumpkin Witch as a monthly special (Android only) and a new design for Pineapple.
  • October 31: Version 1.6.3 was released on Android via in-game update. This update fixes some bugs, they also accidentally left in dev tools.
  • November 3: Another 1.6.3 patch was released, fixing the part, when choosing the upper-right part of the cake crashes the game in some Android devices, and removed dev tools.
  • December 1: Version 1.6.5 was released on Android along with the Snow Cotton as a Monthly Special.
  • December 18: Version 1.6.6 was released on some Android devices via in-game update. It adds PvP Mode (Beta).
  • December 24: Version 1.6.7 was released on Android with Agave as a January monthly special.

2016

  • January 21: Version 1.7.0 was released on iOS with Lost City, monthly specials from 1.6.1 to 1.6.7 from Android version and PvP Mode. The Chinese New Year event returned. Snow Cotton and Agave were included as monthly special plants for February and March respectively. The ability to earn certain puzzle pieces by replaying levels was removed. The new feature, Plant Adventures was added in its place.
  • January 29: Version 1.7.0 was released on Android along with the Kiwifruit as a monthly special and added Lost City and PvP Mode.
  • February 4 : Version 1.7.1 was released on Android.
  • February 16: Version 1.7.1 was released on iOS.
  • March 8: Version 1.7.2 was released on Android. This update fixes some bugs in PvP Mode and re-adds Strong Broccoli as a March monthly special.
  • March 30: Version 1.7.2 was released on iOS. In this version, the player can play the game on the Apple Watch.
  • April 1: Version 1.7.3 was released on Android, re-adding Machine Gun Pomegranate as a monthly special and added a sale for a new spring-themed plant Pretty Plum.
  • April 7: Version 1.7.4 was released on Android.
  • April 25 : Version 1.7.3 was released on iOS.
  • April 26: Version 1.7.5 was released on Android, featuring the new plant Dragonfruit, which appeared in a sale. This update also added Hammer Zombie, Drinking Monk Zombie, Chicken Wrangler Zombie, Mecha-Football Zombie and Imp Cannon to the PvP Mode, along with the possibility to upgrade power-ups for zombies. It also fixed some bugs.
  • May 20: Version 1.7.4 was released on iOS, featuring Children's Day events with limited time plant, Angel Starfruit. It also added Android-exclusive monthly special plants, Pretty Plum and Dragonfruit; while new zombies and changes were added in PvP Mode.
  • June 1: Version 1.7.7 was released on Android. But unlike the iOS version, it didn't feature Children's Day events. However, Angel Starfruit appeared as a plant to purchase with real money. It also added some changes to PvP Mode (along with a new PvP music theme).
  • July 6 : Version 1.8.0, which lowered the difficulty of many levels and transformed the map, was released on iOS. The update also reduced the number of levels, removed the Daily Challenges, removed the World Key system, added more Zomboss levels, more rewards when gaining stars, removed the prize after completing a level, added chests in which the player can obtain coins and Puzzle Pieces, removed Plant Adventures, redesigned the seed packets and level icons, added Penny's Store, changed the amount of sun from 25 to 50, and added the brand new PvP main menu music and battling music.
  • July 15: Version 1.8.0 was released on Android, which has the same things as in the iOS version. However, this does not include any music fixes.
  • July 19 : Version 1.8.1 was released on Android.
  • August 11: Version 1.8.2 was released on iOS along with Gatling Pea, Firebloom Queen and Banksia Boxer. The summer event was also released, which let the player fight several bosses to get crystals for a chance to spin the slot. The update also brings back the Daily Challenge with a better menu and replaced the Zombot Sphinx-inator with Gunpowder Devil, the Almanac entries for the bosses were organized and some bugs and glitches in the previous update was fixed. The lawn background were enlarged to the same size used on International Version since its 4.3.1 update. However, this update also bought a few more glitches and the quality of the plants and zombies' damaged animation was decreased.
  • August 23 : Version 1.8.2 was released on Android. It bought the same features like the iOS update. The display area on Android devices also fixed the horizontal stretch glitch which since 1.0.0 by recropped the lawn background to match the look on iOS and the game's International Version rather than showing the entire left side of the lawn background in each levels.
  • September 17, 2016: Version 1.9.0 was released on iOS. However, after the withdrawal of the update, PopCap Shanghai also sent an urgent notification update to the Version 1.9.0 players to return to the Version 1.8.2.
  • September 20 : Version 1.9.0 was finally released on iOS. The update brought Neon Mixtape Tour and new plants, Plant Adventures, avatars and accounts, more events, video rewards, etc. This also fixed almost all of the sounds and music in the game. Sky City - Day 25 was made playable in this version.
  • September 23, 2016: Version 1.9.0 was released on Android. However, most of the music is still not fixed.
  • November 16, 2016: Version 1.9.1 was released on iOS along with Cold Snapdragon, Grapeshot and Shrinking Violet. Also, the update officially brought Sky City's final level and Winter Dr. Zomboss Boss Rush Event.
  • December 15, 2016: Version 1.9.1 was released on Android.

2017

  • January 12 , 2017: Version 2.0.0 was released on iOS with Jurassic Marsh, new plants, new levels in the upgrade system, features, Endless Zone, and Chinese New Year events. This also includes bug fixes. But in both versions, every world's Brainiac Maniac music, Ultimate Battle music, Zomboss' theme music, mid-wave B music, "The Zombies Ate Your Brain!" music, and sound FX of Sun-shroom, Cactus, Chard Guard, Electric Blueberry and all Zombies are still missing.
  • January 13: Version 2.0.0 was released on Android, finally fixing the music issues to be the same as on iOS.
  • March 14 : Version 2.0.1 was released on iOS, featuring Escape Root, Electric Currant, Witch Hazel and Apple Mortar, along with the Happy Tree event. This update also gives more plants Level 5 abilities. In this version, Witch Hazel's and Apple Mortar's Sound FX are missing.
  • May 25 : Version 2.1.0 was released for Android, with new Level 5 ability for Bowling Bulb and new Children's Day Pinata Party from May 26th to June 8th.
  • June 2 : Version 2.1.0 was released for iOS.
  • June 30, 2017: Version 2.1.1 was released for Android with new plants Sumo Melon and new level 5 ablilties for Banana Launcher and Kiwifruit, along with a new summer event.
  • July 4, 2017: Version 2.1.1 was released for iOS.
  • August 21 & 24, 2017: Version 2.2.0 was released for Android and then iOS, including new plants and zombies and 27 new levels of Modern Day along with a new type of boss rush event.
  • September 25 & 28, 2017: Version 2.2.1 was released for Android and then iOS, including Wasabi Whip and Explode-O-Nut, with National Day event started in October.
  • September 30: National Day 2017 started
  • October 14: The National Day event ended
  • November 17: Version 2.2.2 was released for Android and iOS, which includes certain special logins for Chinese accounts, new offers as well as Parsnip's debut.
  • December 20, 2017: Version 2.2.3 was released for iOS, which includes Missile Toe and Kiwibeast. The Brain Buster event also started.
  • December 26: Version 2.2.3 was released for Android.

2018

  • January 31: Version 2.2.4 was released for iOS. The update includes Chinese New Year events along with three new plants: Electric Peashooter, Hot Date and Icy Currant.
  • February 5 : Version 2.2.5 was released on Android. A version 2.2.5 was also released on iOS after with some minor bug fixes.
  • March 28: Version 2.2.7 was released for iOS with a new plant, Tulip Trumpeter, along with tons of different limited-time offers.
  • April 8: Version 2.2.7 was released for Android improving graphics.
  • May 13: Version 2.2.8 was released, containing Eggplant Ninja. However, this update also causes lag on the Plants menu and Choose Your Seeds menu.
  • June 14: Version 2.2.9 was released on iOS, bringing the World Cup event which contains exclusive mini-games for its levels.
  • June 19: Version 2.2.9 was out for Android.
  • July 31: Version 2.3.0 was out for iOS which includes new plants and the new world Steam Age.
  • August 7: Version 2.3.0 was out for Android.
  • September 21: Version 2.3.1 was released in an open beta. It introduced Battlez and two plants: Banana Dancer and Rotten Red.
  • September 28: Version 2.3.2 was properly released. It was the same as version 2.3.1 but removed Rotten Red, due to copyright issues.
  • October 10: Version 2.3.3 was released. It introduced a new plant: Narcissus Shooter and added droprate percentages to the Lottery System and other lootboxes.
  • December 17: Version 2.3.4 was released on iOS, introducing a new plant: Dual Pistol Pinecone for replacement for Rotten Red. The hockey event also began.
  • December 23: Version 2.3.4 was released on Android.

2019

  • January 6: The hockey event ended.
  • January 18: Version 2.3.5 was released. It added two plants: Alarm Arrowhead and Holly Barrier and added Level 5 upgrades to Cactus and Winter Melon.
  • March 14: Version 2.3.6/2.3.7 was released, adding Shadow Peashooter and the level 5 upgrades of Cryo-shroom and Sumo Melon, and finally adding support for Android 5.0+.
  • April 28: Version 2.3.8/2.3.9 was released adding Snap Pea, level 5 upgrades for Oak Archer, Horsebean, Angel Starfruit and Vasebreaker Event.
  • May 26: Version 2.3.92 was released on iOS, adding Crystal Orchid, level 5 upgrades for Melon-pult and Magic-shroom, additional star rewards up to 1050 stars, Travel Log, and featuring Children's Day event.
  • May 29: Version 2.3.92 was released on Android.
  • July 3: Version 2.3.93 was released on iOS, adding Sling Pea, level 5 upgrades for Bonk Choy and Electric Blueberry, a new attacking animation for Bonk Choy, and an interface change for the Travel Log. Epic Quests are added to the Travel Log, too. A new free upgrade system has been added to the game. The system doesn't require anything to upgrade the plants.
  • July 9: Version 2.3.93 was released on Android.
  • July 12: The World Cup event starts.
  • July 23: Version 2.3.94 was released on Android, fixing Arena's bug.
  • July 26: The World Cup event ends.
  • August 9: Version 2.3.95 was released on iOS, adding a new plant, Thunder Snapdragon, level 5 upgrades for Snap Pea and Threepeater, and Vasebreaker event, featuring levels from Far Future, Dark Ages, and Big Wave Beach.
  • August 12: Version 2.3.95 was released on Android.
  • September 25: Version 2.4.0 was released on iOS and Android, featuring a new world known as Renaissance Age. New plants, zombies, and events were also added to the game. Zorrose and Hot Date had also become plants for the 15th world.
  • November 5: Version 2.4.2 was released on iOS, adding Electrici-tea and Imp Pear, level 5 upgrades for Dandelion and Thunder Snapdragon, and 18 new costumes for existing plants. The update also brings new Vasebreaker levels in Jurassic Marsh, Lost City, and Modern Day.
  • November 8: Version 2.4.2 was released on Android.
  • December 14: Version 2.4.4 was released on iOS, featuring Renaissance Age Part 2.
  • December 19: Version 2.4.4 was released for Android.
  • December 21: Version 2.4.5 was released on both Android and iOS, fixing some glitches.

2020

  • January 14: Version 2.4.6 was released on both Android and iOS, adding two new plants Egrett Flower and Strawburst with their respective level 5 upgrades and costumes, Morning Glory and Holly Barrier have level 5 Chinese New Year costumes for Agave, Cabbage-pult, Primal Peashooter, Bonk Choy were added. New Chinese New Year events, Vasebreaker event.
  • January 15: Version 2.4.7 was released on both Android and iOS fixing known issues.
  • February 27: Version 2.4.8 was released on iOS, adding Goo Peashooter with level 5, Pyro-shroom and Shadow Peashooter with level 5, Modern Day Endless Challenge and new events.
  • March 5: Version 2.4.8 was released on Android.
  • April 15: Version 2.4.83 was released on iOS and Android, adding Elaeocarpus.
  • May 22: Version 2.4.84 was released on iOS and Android, adding Dartichoke with their respective level 5, Dragonfruit and Chard Guard now have level 5 and new events.
  • July 14: Version 2.5.0 was released on iOS and Android, adding Penny's Pursuit mode, a new Super Pendant system, level 5 for Banksia Boxer and Chestnut Squad, two new plants: Pokra and Water Chestnut Brothers with their respective level 5 and some new events.
  • August 25: Version 2.5.2 was released on iOS, adding Ultomato with their respective level 5, Level 5 for Grimrose and Hot Date, New freemium currency: Rubies, New Costumes for most of instant-use plants and the ability to wear pendants for those, New events, New Pendants.
  • September 3: Version 2.5.2 was released on Android.
  • September 22: Version 2.5.3 was released on iOS, adding Dollarweed Drummer , New Event: Lost City Treasure Hunt, Zomboss Challenge Race is back, Gacha gifts, New Events, Penny's Secret Treasure event, Penny's Pursuit will receive "Lost City" season.
  • September 24: Version 2.5.3 was released on Android.
  • October 27: Version 2.5.4 was released on iOS adding Shadow Vanilla with their respective level 5, level 5 for Crystal Orchid and Kiwibeast, New Events, some UI changes and improvements, New Costumes.
  • October 29: Version 2.5.4 was released on Android.
  • December 10: Version 2.5.6 was released on iOS, adding Bromel Blade with their respective level 5, Jalapeno Zombie, Explode-O-Nut Zombie, Snow Pea Zombie, and Gatling Pea Zombie to Penny's Pursuit, level 5 upgrades for Shrinking Violet and Icy Currant, new costumes, Kongfu World, Steam Age, and Renaissance Age to Penny's Pursuit, made several balancing changes to plants, and improved the quality of plants' sounds.
  • December 19: Version 2.5.7 was released on iOS and Android, adding everything from v2.5.6 to Android, and better optimizing Bromel Blade's animations.

2021

  • January 22: Version 2.6.0 was released for Android (4399), featuring a new world known as Heian Age. New Plants and New Zombies were added to the game along New Costumes: Peashooter, Chomper, Kiwifruit, Bonk Choy, New Event: Lion Dancer Zombie Event along other new events, Some Optimizations.
  • January 25: Version 2.6.0 was released on iOS and Android (other than 4399).
  • March 11: Version 2.6.2 was released on iOS adding plants Olive Pit and Gumnut, Endless Training, Backpack System, New Costumes for: Cabbage-pult, Spring Bean, Threepeater, Endurian, Melon-pult, Spring Festival and other New Events.
  • March 13: Version 2.6.2 was released on Android.
  • April 25: Version 2.6.4 was released on iOS adding Part 2 of Heian Age, New Plants: Geisha Flower and Stickybomb Rice, New Zombies: Onmyoji Zombie and Mino Zombie, Some Balancing To Plants, Optimizations, New Costumes: Snow Pea, Iceberg Lettuce, Tall-nut, Gold Leaf, E.M.Peach.
  • April 27: Version 2.6.4 was released for Android.
  • April 28: Version 2.6.5 was released for iOS fixing minor bugs.
  • May 26: Version 2.6.6 was released on iOS, introducing Earthstar Launching Silo, Hard Mode for Ancient Egypt, A new seven-day missions for new players, Children Day event for Penny's Pursuit and other new events, New Costumes: Threepeater, Chestnut Squad, Horsebean, Laser Bean, Mischief Radish and a New UI for the game along other optimizations.
  • May 28: Version 2.6.6 was released on Android.
  • June 4: Version 2.6.7 was released on IOS fixing minor bugs.
  • June 6: Version 2.6.7 was released for Android.
  • July 13: Version 2.7.0 was released on iOS and Android, adding Headbutter Lettuce and Dazey Chain, New System: Artifacts along 4 new artifacts (Kamikaze, Lightning Gun, Healing, Vaselobber), 2 New Zombies: Elite Zcorpion Zombie and Elite Healer Zombie, New Costumes: Jackfruit, Oil Olive, Timid Thorns, Flat-shroom, Coffee Bean, Imitater, New Event: Call of Wish along other new events, Zombotany Zombies returns.
  • August 11: Version 2.7.2 was released on Android adding Soda Bottle Palm and Boom Balloon Flower, Level 5 for Aloe and Gumnut, New Events, New Costumes: Pokra, Sunflower, Cattail, Shadow Peashooter, New Super Pendants: Stun Gun and Police Stun Gun, Some Optimizations.
  • August 12: Version 2.7.2 was released on iOS.
  • August 16: Version 2.7.3 was released on Android fixing minor bugs.
  • August 18: Version 2.7.3 was released on iOS.
  • September: Version 2.7.5 was released.
  • September 6: Version 2.7.6 was released adding Turkey-pult and Hammer Flower.
  • November 11: Version 2.7.7 adds Monthly Card Deals (月卡特惠; Yuè kǎ tèhuì), Singles Day Event known as Special Rave (特惠狂欢; Tèhuì kuánghuān)
  • December: Version 2.7.8 adds Christmas Themed Costumes to Plants like Cob Cannon, Fishhook Grass, Mangosteen New Hourglass Artifact, Christmas Event known as Welcome Christmas (喜迎双旦; Xǐ yíng shuāng dàn)

2022

  • Chinese New Years: Version 2.8.0 adds Firework Artifact, Gacha Toy Arcade Artifact, Inferno, Tigerstool, Creative Lawn, New Event known as Golden Eggs In New Years (新年开金蛋; Xīnnián kāi jīn dàn)
  • Earth Day: Version 2.8.2 adds Penny's Class Mode, Gardener Grass, Draftodil, New features in Creative Lawn.
  • April 25: Version 2.8.4 was released, adding Secret Realms including new Plants and Zombies.
  • Summer: New Summer Event, Hocus Crocus, Summer themed Costumes, Summer Event.
  • May: Version 2.8.8 was released.
  • June 9: Version 2.8.9 was released, fixing some bugs.
  • July 1: Version 2.9.0 was released, adding new levels to Fairytale Forest, Modern Pool and Modern Fog lawns to Memory Lane, new plants, new zombie, new artifact, new Summer Event, new zombies to Zomboss Test Lab for Creative Courtyard and also fixing some bugs.
  • July 27: Version 2.9.2 was released on iOS, adding the Card Clash gamemode.
  • July 28: Version 2.9.2 was released on Android.
  • August 4: Version 2.9.3 was released, fixing several issues, such as bug fixes, texture errors, activity issues, and more.
  • August 29: Version 2.9.4 was released, adding new costumes for Bearberry Mortar, Mulberry Blaster, Sling Pea, Moonflower, Mangosteen, Puff-shroom and Water Chestnut Brothers; and new plant Buttercup.
  • September 27: 2.9.6 was released, bringing Zombot Mark II fight to Memory Lane, preparing Haunting Halloween limited-time Secret Realm, adding 2 new plants: Byttneria Meteor Hammer and Laser Crownflower; 2 new artefacts: Water Gun Artefact, Black Hole Artefact; and new plant families.
  • October 4: 2.9.7 was released, fixing several issues regarding last update (2.9.6).
  • November 7: 2.9.8 was released, preparing the Double Eleven event, adding new plant families, adding 2 new super pendants: Apprentice Books; 2 new plants: Zoybean Pod and Orchid Mage; and a brand new artefact: Meteorite Artefact.
  • December 20: 3.0.0 was released, adding Jack O' Lantern, Magic Hat Artefact, new plant families, and new costumes to Turkey-pult, Laser Crownflower, Boom Balloon Flower, Sunflower, and Wall-nut.

2023

  • January 13: 3.0.2 Chinese New Years version was released only on Android, adding a brand new multiplayer mode Two-Player Mode, as well as a brand new plant enhancing system Gene Enhancement, adding 3 new plants: Twin Year of the Rabbits, Pike Hoya, and Pea Pharmacist; adding 2 new artefacts: Evolver Artefact and Beehive Artefact, and also preparing the brand new Celebrating Chinese New Year limited-time Secret Realm, as well as new plant families, and new costumes for Zapdragon, Dual Pistol Pinecone, Dollarweed Drummer, Imp Pear, Phat Beet, and Apple Mortar.
  • January 17: 3.0.3 was released on Android, featuring fixes on several issues.
  • January 18: 3.0.3 was released on iOS, featuring all the content of 3.0.2 from Android earlier, as well as the issue fixes of 3.0.3 from Android earlier.
  • February 4: 3.0.4 was released only on Android, doing some balance about the Two-Player Mode and preparing it's next season.
  • February 7: 3.0.5 was released on Android, featuring several issue fixes.
  • February 8: 3.0.5 was released on iOS, featuring all the stuff of 3.0.4 from Android earlier, as well as the issue fixes of 3.0.5 from Android earlier.
  • March 8: 3.0.6 Arbor Day version was released on iOS, adding 12 new zombies to Two-Player Mode as well as enhancing it's system overall. It also added 3 new plants: Burdock Batter, Pumpkin, and Vamporcini, 2 new artefacts: Midas Touch Artefact and Acid Artefact, adding new plant families, as well as preparing the Arbor Day event.
  • March 9: 3.0.6 was released on Android.
  • March 14: 3.0.7 was released on Android, featuring several issue fixes.
  • March 15: 3.0.7 was released on iOS.
  • March 30: 3.0.8 was released on Android, featuring bug fixes.
  • April 1: 3.0.8 was released on iOS.

  • July 3: 3.1.4 Subway Surfers version was released on iOS, an official collaboration with Subway Surfers takes place, bringing a brand new set of zombies themed after Subway Surfers, a brand new artefact: Skateboard Artefact, a brand new limited-time Secret Realm Parkour Party, which includes a new lawn, a new lawnmower, a new OST, and a new minigame / brain-buster, as well as adding 2 new plants: Parkour Mandrake and Abyss Anemone; also bringing 5 new zombies to Two-Player Mode, as well as bringing Seeing Stars minigame from the original game, and last but not least, adding new costumes to Sunflower, Dripping Diphylleia, Dino-Roar Grass, Sugarcane Master, and Gatling Pea.

  • September 25: 3.2.0 National Day version was released, adding 2 new plants: MayBee and Oilseed-pult; adding new plant families, as well as adding new costumes to Cactus, Abyss Anemone, and Abyss Devil's Claw.
  • September 30: 3.2.1 was released, featuring several issue fixes.
  • October 27: 3.2.3 Discover Hemudu version was released, an official collaboration with the Yuyao Hemudu Heritage Museum takes place, thriving to educate players about the Hemudu Culture through new activities. Content-wise, it added 2 new plants: Bamboo Spartan and Dracaena; added new costumes to Primal Peashooter, Primal Sunflower, Capaci-cone, and Gorgon Pitcher; added 5 new zombies to Two-Player Mode, added new plant families, QOLC (quality of life change) by fixing seed packets of several plants, added an Endless Challenge for Steam Age, as overhauled the newbie's program, as well as brought back the Haunting Halloween limited-time Secret Realm for a second round!

It added 3 new plants: Nightcap, Sunshine Leek, and Shine Vine; added a brand new Secret Realm: [[Frostbite Caves Resurgence], added new costumes for Apple Mortar, Hoya Heart, Dracaena, Acidic Citrus, and Ghost Pepper; added 2 new plant families, added Bungee Zombie as well as brought Column Like You See 'Em from the original game, added a new event as well prepared loads of events, and last but not least, an entire music fix was launched, fixing every international world's music, as well as bringing back Ultimate Battle and Demonstration Minigame themes, while also bringing high quality versions of Kongfu World and Sky City themes, with a muffled Choose Your Seeds theme (this includes Steam Age), and as a surprise adding a Demonstration Minigame theme for Big Wave Beach.
  • December 20: 3.2.8 was released as the official update, doing some small tweaks and bugfixing, as well as making several plants now deal electric plant, such as Cactus, Cattail, Laser Crownflower, Laser Bean, and more.
