Turkey-pult
“ | ” | |
Turkey-pult is a lobber plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2 first introduced the 8.4.1 update. She[1] lobs tofu turkeys that damage zombies upon initial impact, but will then rush down the lane and deal damage to zombies they run into, just like hypnotized Zombie Chickens.
Turkeys lobbed by Turkey-pult have 55 health and deal 65 damage per second.
Origins
Turkey-pult is based on the soybean plant (Glycine max); as well as the concept of tofurkey, a meat substitute in the form of a loaf. Tofurkey is usually made from tofu, a bean curd made from coagulating soy milk, which is imitation milk made by soaking and grinding soybeans.
The turkeys being made out of Tofu is a reference to Zoybean Pod, as they both summon Zomboid versions of zombies.
In Turkey-pult's case, those turkeys that Turkey-pult lobs are based on the turkeys that are released by Chicken Wrangler Zombie during the Fall Food Fight event.
The name "Turkzilla" is a pun of "Turkey" and "Godzilla", which refers the size of the turkey.
Turkey-pult's name could also be based on "Turkey Poult", the name for a young turkey.

Strategies
Turkey-pult is a great plant for both direct damage dealing and stalling. The turkeys deal a moderate 10 landing damage and 65 damage per second at a rate of one per 3 seconds. At turkey level 7, they deal a landing damage of 55 and deal 333.24 damage per second, which is enough to kill basic zombies in one shot, not to mention the turkey's high health. The turkeys health help them last longer so they can deal much more damage to zombies.
However, one weakness of Turkey-pult is fast paced levels that spam lots of zombies, as Turkey-pult has a very slow rate of fire and cannot replace lost Turkeys reliably unless supported by other plants.
Thanks to the speed of the turkey as well as the faster spawn rate, Turkey-pult is more useful than Zoybean Pod in normal conditions. The turkeys can also attack Zombie Medusa without being petrified, or bypass Jester Zombie and Parasol Zombie. She can also be used to counter Chicken Wrangler Zombie and Weasel Hoarder as only the turkeys will run down the lane and attack all chickens or weasels they encounter, similar to Ultomato's beam.
Even if the Turkey-pult is at level 1, a single one can hold off a Gargantuar by herself indefinitely (with the exceptions of Gargantuar Prime and Hair Metal Gargantuar during the metal jam) due to the same attack rates. If more are in the same lane, Turkey-pults can easily destroy Gargantuars, or the likes of Mecha-Football Zombie.
It is also highly recommended to use Turkey-pult against Zombots in Penny's Pursuit or Arena, especially Zombot Dark Dragon, Zombot Dinotronic Mechasaur and Zombot Tuskmaster 10,000 BC as multiple turkeys can easily overwhelm them before they spawn strong Zombies, and they do not have to move after a health bar is depleted to trigger the next phase. Since the 9.4.1 update zombots now mirror damage taken to plant-based spawnables, but Turkeys can still get a couple of hits in and do lots of damage.
Turkey-pult's turkeys can also easily plow through most obstacles like tombstones or Surfer Zombie's surfboard. Imp Cannons are also easy to deal with as long as they're on a lane with planks as Imp Cannons cannot attack directly.
Turkey-pult is helpful in handling some dangerous zombies with instant-kill abilities. In Ancient Egypt, Explorer Zombies will stop walking and instead attempt to eat the turkeys. In Pirate Seas, Turkey-pult will always target Barrel Roller Zombie instead of his barrel. In Wild West, the turkeys will make Zombie Bull and Rodeo Legend Zombie stumble and instantly throw Zombie Bull Rider. In Neon Mixtape Tour, Punk Zombie will stop to eat the turkeys, MC Zom-B will not be able to use his microphone attack but eat instead. In Modern Day, All-Star Zombie will waste his tackle on a turkey.
Unless upgraded, Turkey-pult should not be the only offensive plant the player have in Endless Zones, as the turkeys are not strong enough to withstand multiple zombies.
Turkey-pult should not be used against the Zombot Aerostatic Gondola as the tofu turkeys can inadvertedly trigger the fire tiles and kill the plants in that lane.

Trivia
- Although being a lobber plant, Turkey-pult cannot target or attack submerged Snorkel Zombies, even though the thrown turkeys are able to do so.
- Turkey-pult's turkeys are affected by Evil Potions in Dark Ages, Arena, and Penny's Pursuit and they are also affected by jams in Neon Mixtape Tour.
- While Balloon Zombies and Bug Zombies fly over the turkeys, Jetpack Zombies and Disco Jetpack Zombies stop to eat them as if they were Tall-nuts.
