Dendrobium Windbreak (石斛防风网; pinyin: shíhú fángfēngwǎng) is a plant in Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 2.6.0. update as an unlockable plant for the Heian Age world, being unlocked after clearing Day 11.

Dendrobium Windbreak can resist powerful wind attacks, losing a leaf each time it does, When all of Dendrobium Windbreak's leaves are blown away, it will be blown away like any other plant.

Dendrobium Windbreak starts off with two leaves, but with each additional adjacent Dendrobium Windbreak, it will gain one additional leaf and +25% more health.

Origins

Dendrobium Windbreak is based on the noble dendrobium (Dendrobium nobile), a popular houseplant as well as a staple plant in Chinese herbology.

Strategies

Dendrobium Windbreak is a must-use plant in Heian Age, since it can prevent any wind attacks from blowing away different plants. Plant more Dendrobium Windbreaks on adjacent lanes can stack up more numbers of leaves along with more health, since Dendrobium Windbreak starts off with two leaves and much lower health, and if it instantly lose two leaves at once, it'll be blown away by the wind.

He also can be used on Onmyoji Zombie as its main counter, especially if there are more of them. But you must plant them much earlier than their appearance because his recharge speed was really low. When he recharges, try to use an alternate strategy such as distracting them with free plants such as planting two Puff-shrooms in a single lane.

You must be careful with Gargantuars since they’re able to smash Dendrobium Windbreak with no problem whatsoever. Try to plant a low-sun cost plants like Puff-shroom to distract them.
