Ragweed is a Rare Scrapper plant introduced in Plants vs. Zombies 3. They cost 2 sun and "sneeze" on nearby zombies, dealing damage and having a 25% chance to knock them back one tile.

Origins

Ragweed is based on the ragweed plant, a flowering plant in the genus Ambrosia found in tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas.

Their design is also based on a handkerchief, a type of rag that is often sneezed into, reflected by their name and abilities.

Their Plant Food name "Gesundheit!" is the German word for "health" (and the response to sneezing in German)

Their Tacobility name is a pun on the phrase "not a problem."

Plant Food effect

Ragweed's Plant Food ability is named Gesundheit!. When used, Ragweed will let out an enormous sneeze, pushing all zombies in their lane back.

Tacobility

Ragweed's Tacobility is Snot a Problem, which allows Ragweed fire out snot when they sneeze, which stuns zombies that they hit. This can be upgraded to allow the snot to deal more damage.

Strategies

Ragweed's damage and range is low, so they are normally a shorter range Peashooter. However, they have a 25% chance to knock zombies back by three spaces.

Similarly to other plants with chances to use a special attack, Ragweed should be supported with some long-ranged Shooter plants. Due to their low health and low damage for a Scrapper plant, it is also suggested to use Wall plants to protect Ragweed.

Ragweed's Plant Food ability, however, is very effective. Due to their ability to damage and push back all zombies in their lane 3 tiles back, they can wipe out swarms and push away the zombies when they are being overwhelmed.

Their Tacobility gives them a stunning attack, along with their knockback. This can be very effective, but their low damage and slow attack speed still leave Ragweed a bit dependent on their knockback to survive.
