Celebration Soda Palm (庆典汽水椰; pinyin: qìngdiǎn qìshuǐ yē) is a defensive plant in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. It was released for the Birthdayz event celebrating the 8th Anniversary of Plants vs. Zombies 2's release in China.

When attacked by a zombie, the soda inside Celebration Soda Palm will start churning and begin to inflate. When attacked enough, Celebration Soda Palm will erupt and push all zombies ahead of it to the forth tile in front of it. After erupting, Celebration Soda Palm will need time to recharge its depleted soda.

Origins

Celebration Soda Palm is based on the bottle palm (Hyophorbe lagenicaulis), a species of palm tree native to the Mauritius islands; and a plastic soda bottle.

Its appearance is based on a play on "soda bottle" and "bottle palm".

Its attack is based on how soda bottles have highly pressured carbon dioxide bubbles that expand when the bottle is opened and push the soda out with them
