—Cabbage-Pult
Cabbage-Pult is an Air-GuardBallisticplant in Plants vs. Zombies 3. It attacks zombies by lobbing cabbages in the lane it is planted in. Cabbage-Pult is the first Lobber plant that the player unlocks, being unlocked after completing Floor 2 of Devour Tower. Its seed packets are more likely to be dropped in Taco Park breakout levels.
It costs 4 sun, and it attacks zombies by lobbing heads of cabbage at them. Its rate of fire is slower then than of Peashooter, but deals more damage as a trade off. Being a lobber plant, cabbages launched by Cabbage-Pult are also able to target and damage Flying zombies, this makes Cabbage-Pult an inexpensive solution to early flying zombies.
It is obtained for free after encountering, and losing to, a Balloon Zombie for the first time on Floor 3 of Devour Tower. After which the player is taken to the newly unlocked store and purchases Cabbage-Pult seed packets, added Cabbage-Pult to the player's seed collection.
Its Tacobility name is portmanteau of "cold," referring to its ability to chill zombies and "coleslaw," a salad consisting primarily of finely-shredded raw cabbage with a salad dressing, commonly either vinaigrette or mayonnaise.

Effective against:
One of the oldest, wisest plants, Cabbage-Pult has had a long time to reflect on Botanical Ontology. "Newer sprouts ask me if it's strange that I throw other cabbages," Cabbage-Pult recounts. "Of course not, my young friend! Some plants have thoughts and feelings, while others don't and are perfectly ok to throw. Just make sure you don't pult away any cabbages with eyes. You should have seen the look on Cousin Cabbot's face!"
Upgrades
Plant Food effect
Cabbage-Pult's Plant Food is called Cabbage Patch, in which Cabbage-Pult will lob five heavy cabbages at random zombies on the lawn.
Tacobility
Cabbage-Pult's Tacobility is Cold Slaw, making Cabbage-Pult lob icy cabbages that slow zombies.
Strategies
Cabbage-Pult is an effective to deal with Flying zombies. He is one of the cheapest Air-Guard plant available, and is unlocked quite early on in the game, so is therefore a great way for newer players to deal with them. However, later on in the game, once a player has unlocked more plants, they may want to consider different Air-Guard plants with better abilities, like Kernel-Pult or Melon-Pult.
It is recommended that you only bring Cabbage-Pults into levels where there are Flying zombies. If a level does not, it is a much better idea to use Peashooters as they have the same amount of health and damage per second, so you're paying 1 sun more for something you don't need.
On the other hand, in levels where there are many Flying zombies, Cabbage-Pult is crucial to the player. While Lightning Reed is able to attack multiple at once, Cabbage-Pult does higher damage and is overall a better choice. Taco Park and Silicorn Lab in particular have many Flying zombies. However, keep in mind that zombies can appear out of their designated block, so you may encounter the zombies in these blocks elsewhere.
While Cabbage-Pult's Tacobility is the player's first means of chilling zombies (and freezing, when upgraded at least once), simply using it for that purpose is not recommended should the player has access to Snow Pea, as it has a very similar effect. Additionally, they may prefer more specialized options for dealing slow and stun with Caramel Popcorn and Kernel-Pult respectively as they progress through the game.
